Megan Thee Stallion appears to have broke the rules at the 2025 Met Gala.

The American rap queen looked incredible at the glitzy event on Monday night (May 5) hosted by Vogue’s Anna Wintour. The rapper hasn’t attended a Met Gala since 2022 but she certainly turned heads at this year’s event – where the likes of Kim Kardashian, Sydney Sweeney and Halle Berry were in attendance.

She sizzled in a body-hugging sequin gown and an extravagant white fur coat, with a lengthy train behind her. However, she had her fans worried as she posted snaps from inside the super-exclusive event – despite phones reportedly being banned from it.

The rapper even admitted she wasn’t supposed to be on her phone at the Manhattan event but still took to Instagram with snaps from her night. She was seen tucking into various canapés with WNBA star Angel Reese and rapper Doechii.

Megan decided to give a brutally honest review of the food served at the Met, which included things love caviar, white truffle lovbster roles, cornbread, and some vegan lox that she said was “funny looking.” It seemed like, overall, the rapper enjoyed the offerings.

Megan revealed she had “snuck” her phone inside and had taken off the tape covering its camera. It’s believed phones and selfies haven’t been allowed at the event for years but Megan isn’t the first to break it as celebrities such as Kylie Jenner have done the same.

She also shared footage of herself with other celeb guests such as Cynthia Erivo and Michael Kors, who designed her look, and admitted: “We not supposed to have our phones,”

The rapper’s fans were loving the inside scoop but were concerned Megan was going to get herself in trouble with organisers. One fan commented on the post: “GIRL now be careful [laughing face emoji] Thank you for the inside scoop but it’s giving the smoking in the bathrooms pics.”

Another wrote: “Girl they’re gonna get you.” A third commented: “She done snuck that phone in there [two laughing face emojis] Meg you gone get us in trouble but thanks [smiling face emoji].” A fourth wrote: “Rule breaker [laughing face emoji] that’s why I LOVE you [red heart emoji].”

One even wrote that Anna would make Megan “delete this”, prompting Megan herself to reply with laughing emojis. A second said: “Thank you for this forbidden footage sis”.

The theme for this year’s Met – Superfine: Tailoring Black Style – brought menswear to the forefront for the first time in longer than 20 years. It was co-chaired by A$AP Rocky, Colman Domingo, Lewis Hamilton, Pharrell Williams and, of course, Vogue’s Anna Wintour.

Kim Kardashian had some trouble when a security guard accidentally stepped on the trail of her dress as she headed to the event. The reality TV titan stumbled for a second and appeared to tell him to watch his footing but luckily regained her composure and climbed into a waiting car.
