US singer Chris Brown was arrested at a fancy hotel in Manchester over an alleged incident which took place two years ago.
The controversial star was reportedly arrested at The Lowry Hotel in Manchester in the early hours of Thursday morning (May 15). He had arrived at Manchester Airport on Wednesday afternoon (May 14).
It’s reported he was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm to a music producer, Abe Diaw. The alleged incident took place in 2023 at Tape nightclub in Hanover Square, London in 2023.
The Met Police reportedly travelled to Manchester to arrest the music maker. They told The Sun: “A 36-year-old man was arrested at a hotel in Manchester shortly after 02:00hrs on Thursday, 15 May on suspicion of grievous bodily harm.

“He has been taken into custody where he remains. The arrest relates to an incident at a venue in Hanover Square on 19 February 2023.
“The investigation is being led by detectives from the Central West Area Basic Command Unit.”
Back in October 2023, music producer Abe launched a lawsuit against Chris, alleging the US star assaulted him.
He alleged that Chris “inflicted severe and lasting injuries” after “beating [the music producer] over the head”.
The alleged incident happened in February 2023 at the exclusive Tape London nightclub, close to Oxford Circus and Bond Street.
According to the lawsuit, Chris allegedly hit Abe with a bottle of Don Julio 1942 tequila, before he “ruthlessly stomped on” the alleged victim.

Abe was allegedly left unconscious for 30 seconds. He was rushed to hospital according to documents seen by Page Six.
It is also alleged Abe had “lacerations on his head and torn ligaments in his leg”, and that he “suffered serious and permanent emotional distress and trauma”.
Chris is due to head out in the UK next month on his Breezy Bowl XX Tour, however it’s believed this could cause chaos for his plans.
Daily Star has contacted a representative for Chris for comment.
