Love Island spoilers follow… Fans watched in suspense as this year’s bunch of sexy singleton islanders had to decide who would be getting the boot from the reality titan show after just a few days
Fans of Love Island have celebrated as the next sexy singleton was dumped from the show.
Viewers were left on a major cliffhanger on Thursday night’s show (June 12) as new arrival Shea Mannings and original boy Blu Chegini had to decide amongst themselves who would be next to leave the island. It came as producers geared up to bring three new girls into the show to stir the pot and test the couples’ blossoming connections.
Following on from Thursday night’s brutal twist, which saw Blu and Shea without a couple, fans were gearing up for a major shock as the two lads battled it out to fight for their spot on the island. Things were made worse for the pair when the sexy singletons received a text message to say they were both vulnerable.
The group was left in shock when they found out that Blu and Shea had to decide amongst themselves who should leave the show. During Friday night’s episode (June 13), the tension ramped up even further as each boy pleaded their case.
Tensions began to grow between the pair as Blu defended his lack of connections so far, adding he was “waiting for the spark” of a relationship. When pressed by the fellow Islanders if he would steal any of the girls to explore a connection with – he admitted he would want to get to know Toni Laites.
Viewers and Islanders alike were left reeling as Toni immediately shot back and struck Blu down, insisting: “Think my name got pulled up out of someone’s a**.” Eventually, despite the constant arguments between the two, it was decided the couples would have to decide their fellow Islander’s fate.
After some intense discussions, the Islanders opted to keep new boy Shea in the villa, giving Blu the boot out the front door. While giving their reasonings, the boys pointed out the lack of a viable connection, adding: “It’s not Friend Island, is it?”
As a result, Blu was kicked out of the villa, becoming the first man of the series to be booted from the show. Fans watching the drama unfold rushed to social media to cheer the result, with many praising the move from ITV bosses.
One fan penned during the tense moment: “The boys doing a stand-off like it’s a courtroom. Blu has no charges; nobody’s even interested in him!”
A second user praised Toni’s clap back at her fellow Islander, writing: “I just fell in love with Toni, she just obliterated Blu.” While a third added: “Love Island is really pulling out all the stops this season; I fear I haven’t enjoyed as much as this for years!”
A fourth account chimed in: “Woah these producers have stepped their p****** up this season!” Meanwhile, a fifth viewer beamed, as they added a GIF of an emotional Anne Hathaway: “This is cinema!”
Love Island airs every Sunday to Friday at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
