Sara Burack, a former luxury estate agent famed for her stint on Netflix’s Million Dollar Beach House, tragically died in a hit-and-run incident in Hampton Bays, New York, on Thursday. At the time of her untimely demise, Sara was only 40 years old.
The driver involved in the fatal accident reportedly absconded from the scene and remains unidentified. As of Thursday evening, the police investigation is still underway.
Burack’s body was found just before 3 am on Montauk Highway near Villa Paul Restaurant, following a 911 call reporting a woman lying in the road. Upon arrival, officers discovered her unconscious with injuries indicative of a vehicle collision. She was rushed to hospital but sadly passed away later that day, reports the Mirror.

Burack had previously been associated with Nest Seekers International, a high-end property firm operating in both Manhattan and the Hamptons. Her tenure at the company saw her featured in the Netflix series, which chronicled the exploits of a team of ambitious young brokers vying for multimillion-pound listings in the competitive Hamptons market.
Netflix describes the show, saying: “The competition is fierce – and the drama undeniable – as a group of young and hungry agents try to seal the deal on luxury listings in the Hamptons.”
Despite parting ways with Nest Seekers over a year back, Burack maintained ties with her ex-colleagues. Geoff Gifkins, regional manager for the Hamptons at the firm, remarked: “Our thoughts and prayers are with family and friends,” and implored, “Please be kind and respectful as this is a tremendous loss to her parents and close friends.”

Estate agent heavyweight Paulette Corsair, close with the Burack clan for a number of years, reminisced about Sara’s warmth and dedication to her neck of the woods. Speaking to Newsday, Corsair sang praises: “She was an amazing person who really cared for people,” and pointed out her buddy’s hardworking nature by adding: “She was a hardworking real estate agent who was there for others. She was loved greatly by her friends and a close family.”
Before jumping into posh property dealing, Burack clocked in time at her family’s heavy-duty construction and materials business. Chatting with Hamptons.com, she spoke about her segue into swanky digs sales.
Excited about the drop of Million Dollar Beach House, Burack bigged up the programme as a peekaboo into the lush life. She said: “Viewers will be taken into the world of the Hamptons where they will see not only beautiful multimillion-dollar beach homes and estates, but will be shown summer in the Hamptons,” and teased further intrigue by spilling: “With scenes from broker open houses, polo games, yacht life and more, there is sure to be an awww from viewers!”
As the police persist in their hunt for the culpable driver, friends and ex-colleagues are left grieving the abrupt loss of Sara.
