P Diddy ‘pumps fists and claps’ as rapper cleared of serious charges in trial

P Diddy “pumped his fists” after hearing his final verdict.

The rapper reportedly “pumped his fists and nodded,” according to journalist Erik Uebelacker. Other reports say that Diddy, real name Sean Combs, “faced the courtroom gallery and clapped” before he was “lead out of the courtroom by marshals”.

The I’ll Be Missing You rapper also “knelt down in front of his chair and bowed his head like he was praying” after hearing the news. The gallery reportedly “clapped and cheered,” while Diddy’s attorneys all hugged.

P Diddy was been found guilty of transportation to engage in prostitution following an eight-week trial, but was cleared of the most serious charges he faced.

The jury considered charges that Diddy, real name Sean Combs, had trafficked his victims for sex, ran a racketeering conspiracy and transported victims across state lines to engage in prostitution.

His high-profile trial lasted eight weeks and a number of witnesses called to present accounts of how he allegedly used violence, fear and drugs against women.

The 12-person jury in a Manhattan federal courtroom delivered the verdict on 2 July. The 55-year-old billionaire was found guilty of two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution.

However, the rap mogul was cleared of two counts of sex trafficking and one count racketeering conspiracy in a mixed verdict.

The former Hollywood icon now faces a sentence of up to 10 years in prison.

Diddy was arrested on 16 September 2024 in New York City at the Park Hyatt Hotel. He was held at the Metropolitan Detention Centre and his trial began on 5 May 2025.
