Astronomer CEO Andy Byron has issued a statement after he was caught cheating on his wife at a recent Coldplay concert, and he’s blaming the band for the indiscretion
Astronomer CEO Andy Byron has broken his silence after being busted for clinging onto a woman who was not his wife at a recent Coldplay gig.
In an unexpected twist, Coldplay’s lead singer Chris Martin inadvertently outed Andy and his secret lady during their latest performance in Massachusetts. The business mogul was caught in a moment of bliss, swaying to the band’s live music while embracing a woman from behind.
Their intimate moment was broadcast for all to see on the concert’s big screen, leading them to quickly disentangle and dodge the camera’s gaze.
Chris Martin, who quipped about the pair when they appeared on screen, “Oh look at these two. Either they are having an affair or they’re just really shy,” turned out to be spot-on with his “affair” remark.
Following the exposure of his clandestine affair, the errant CEO has come forward with a public statement regarding the scandal, reports the Mirror US.
The statement reads: “I want to acknowledge the moment that’s been circulating online, and the disappointment it’s caused.
“What was supposed to be a night of music and joy turned into a deeply personal mistake play-out out on a very public stage. I want to sincerely apologize to my wife, my family, and my team at Astronomer. You deserve better from me as a partner, as a father, and as a leader.
“This is not who I want to be or how I want to represent the company I helped build. I’m taking time to reflect, take accountability, and figure out the next steps, personally and professionally. I ask for privacy as I navigate that process.
“I also want to express how troubling it is that what should have been a private moment became public without my consent. I respect artists and entertainers, but I hope we can all think more deeply about the impact of turning someone else’s life into a spectacle.
“As a friend once sang: ‘Lights will guide you home, and ignite your bones, and I will try to fix you.”
The social media platform X, previously known as Twitter, has seen a flurry of activity as users weigh in on the controversy. Some users have openly criticised Andy for inappropriately citing Coldplay in his defence.
One user on X expressed their outrage by saying, “Blaming Coldplay because you were hugging your side piece AT A PUBLIC EVENT is beyond fucked up.
“That man is immature, and it shows. Andy Byron, i hope your wife gets a fat check in the divorce fix you? nah f- -k you,”.
Another chimed in with a scathing remark, “The most arrogant and tone deaf statement from CEO and A- -hat in Charge Andy Byron.”
