Adam Peaty and Holly Ramsay are set to tie the knot in less than two weeks, with the couple sharing a series of snaps as they prepare for their big day during his family fall-out
Adam Peaty and Holly Ramsay are pressing on with their wedding plans – despite ongoing family tensions. The Team GB swimming legend, 30, and Gordon Ramsay’s daughter are set to exchange vows on December 27 in a ceremony at Bath Abbey.
With under a fortnight remaining, the pair are currently putting the finishing touches to their big day preparations, though they managed to squeeze in time for a series of intimate photographs together. As the countdown continues until the duo become Mr and Mrs Peaty, Holly was seen pampering herself whilst Adam enjoyed some relaxation time.
The loved-up couple appeared to be getting ready as Holly positioned herself before a mirror sporting under-eye patches, beaming whilst her fiancé stood topless adjusting his trousers. In one photograph, Adam was captured gazing through the window whilst fastening his trousers, displaying his impressive physique.
Another image showed Holly covering her face as Adam showcased his muscular biceps whilst pulling a comical expression in the mirror. Writing alongside his post, the former Strictly Come Dancing participant shared: “Less than two weeks until we’re married @hollyramsayy. Where did the time go? Yes this is literally the only picture we have together in the last few weeks.”
His social media update was inundated with supportive messages, with one admirer commenting: “I think you are both fab and so glad you have found each other, looking forward to seeing the pics.”, reports the Mirror.
Another added: “Wonderful couple! Your winter wedding will be magical. So excited for you two.”
However, some fans were left debating that his family should be present. One irate follower vented: “Both sides of family should be there.”
Another disgruntled fan chimed in: “You should be on your knees apologising to your poor mum and family!!! Shame on you for allowing Holly to poison you against those that have stood by you all your life and helped you become and achieve what you have!!!!”.
Insiders close to Adam’s devastated mother, Caroline, previously alleged that he had “changed” since meeting Holly and is now pursuing fame, despite his humble beginnings in Uttoxeter.
They told the Daily Mail: “She’s from a celebrity world and his parents are not, and his ego and self-importance has just got bigger. He’s not the lovely boy next door that we all remember him as. Adam has changed and he is almost a bully. He has been so horrible to his mum and he is now trying to exclude her from his life. She is worried sick about all this and can’t believe it is happening.
“We think Holly has triggered all this, and her parents – the power of the rich and famous.”
Adam’s entire family had received invitations to the ceremony, with his brother also slated to be a groomsman, but this changed when James allegedly issued “threats” to the swimmer and was subsequently arrested.
But it’s now emerged that Adam’s sister, Bethany, will be his sole family member present on the big day. His mum, Caroline, was also snubbed from Holly’s hen party at Soho Farmhouse, whilst Bethany was spotted at the lavish bash rubbing shoulders with Lady Victoria Beckham.
Whilst Holly has kept mum about the rift, Adam recently broke his silence on social media with a heartfelt post about the family drama. He wrote: “For those who know me personally, you know that I work so hard on trying to improve myself as a person who wants to contribute to making the world a better place.
“I am continuing to learn about myself and how I can be the man I want to be; a worthy partner, father, businessman, friend and athlete; even through these challenging times. Bethany, Holly and I will get through this – we do not ask for sympathy.
“We just need people to be aware that there are always two sides to every story. To those of you who have reached out and shown kindness and understanding – thank you. It is deeply appreciated.”
