Holly Willoughby addressed her Dancing On Ice wardrobe blunder as This Morning showed a behind the scenes shot.
On last night’s episode of the celebrity skating competition, Holly, 38, had a disaster when her dress was nearly ripped off live on television.
She was flustered after nearly being exposed to the nation, and on today’s This Morning she explained what actually happened to co-host Phillip Schofield and Love Island star Kem Cetinay.
Holly said: “So around the edge of a rink there’s like a train track, and there’s a camera that goes across it.
“The camera whizzed passed, and my dress got caught in the wheels and nearly pulled it down.
Phil said: “They panicked and reversed… and then the wires got caught in my feet!”
They then proceeded to show an exclusive backstage clip from a different camera angle, where the culprit camera was seen.
In the behind-the-scenes video, an extended version is shown with added seconds before Holly and Phil went live on air.
Once the mishap happens, you can hear someone shouting: “Stay still, stay still” as they tried to recover from the mistake.
Kem asked Holly: “Was your dress okay?”
Holly then revealed that her dress was in fact ripped as a result of the television gaffe.
The nearly wardrobe malfunction happened on last night’s episode of Dancing On Ice.
It was a very emotional moment after Diversity star Perri Kiely, 24, and professional partner Vanessa Bauer, 23, exiting the ice after making top of the leaderboard.
As they skated off of the ice however, shrieks were heard from the audience when the camera crashed beneath hosts Holly and Phil.
This Morning continues tomorrow at 10am on ITV1, and Dancing On Ice airs on Sunday at 6pm on ITV1
