Caroline Flack's final TV appearance on Love Island Aftersun before death

Caroline Flack was last seen on TV presenting Love Island Aftersun just months before her untimely death.

The TV presenter was found dead at her London home on Friday – two months after pleading not guilty to common assault at her court hearing in December.

In her last TV appearance, the 40-year-old presented a Love Island reunion Aftersun with all of the contestants, aired on Sunday, August 4, 2019.

Filmed in front of a live studio audience at Elstree Studios in London, the Enfield native interviewed the Love Islanders including winners Amber Gill and Greg O’Shea, along with other couples including Maura Higgins and Curtis Pritchard, and Ovie Soko and India Reynolds.

Show narrator Iain Stirling also made an appearance.

It was the last TV appearance Flack made before she stepped down from her Love Island hosting duties following an altercation at her North London home.

She had filmed adverts and short clips for Winter Love Island – which aired on TV prior to the show’s January launch – however, she decided to pull out of the ITV presenting show over allegations she hit her boyfriend Lewis Burton with a lamp while he slept.

In December it was reported Flack was charged with assault by beating after police were called to her Islington home over a “domestic disturbance”.

After details emerged over the incident, Flack released a statement saying she would not be involved in the Winter Love Island series, with ITV adding the door was open for her to return for the summer format.

Weeks later, on December 23, she attended a court hearing at Highbury Magistrates Court where she pleaded not guilty to common assault.

Flack was banned from seeing or contacting boyfriend Lewis Burton before her trial in March.

Her family confirmed she had passed away in a statement, which read: “We can confirm that our Caroline passed away today, the 15th of February.

“We would ask that the press respect the privacy of the family at this difficult time and we would ask they make no attempt to contact us and/or photograph us.”
