GMB's Charlotte Hawkins awkwardly accused of being 'hungover' on show by co-star

Good Morning Britain presenter Charlotte Hawkins has been accused of rocking up to the ITV show with a major hangover after spending Thursday night partying at the 2020 global awards.

The TV starlet joined Kate Garraway at the VIP bash in central London to cerebrate the biggest and best artists in music.

Kicking off Good Morning Britain at 6am on Friday, Charlotte put on a brave face as she hosted the ITV breakfast show.

Admitting she was sleep deprived, Charlotte admitted to viewers she was “sleepy” as she hosted the first 30 minutes of the show solo.

As she cut to Richard Arnold for the entertainment news, the soap guru could be smirking.

Richard laughed: “Sleepy Charlotte?

“Both you and Kate Gateway are hanging.

“That is the word you are looking.”

Later on in the programme, Ben Shepherd teased the girls for their late night.

Sitting in between the two women, the buff TV host teased: “You’re looking very sprightly the two of you.”

Chatting to Daily Star Online on the red carpet at the Global Awards, Kate admitted she’s sometimes left speechless by some of the guests diva demands on GMB.

“I don’t know if I can say this as it might be very attributable,” she teased.

“I mean people do. There are specific stories of people wanting specific colours for dressing rooms and there have been strange requests.

“With GMB it’s on in the morning so it’s not that easy to get a Sunday roast and if we do it is going to be a bit weird.”

She added: “There are crazy things but often I find when you meet the people they are like ‘oh I didn’t really mean that, it is a general rider for a a when I am doing a fifteen hour shoot or something like that.”

Good Morning Britain airs weekdays on ITV at 6am
