Lord Jamar Isn't Having It After Eminem Admits He's a Guest in Hip-Hop

    Instagram/WENN/Sheri Determan

When asked whether or not he sees as a guest in hip-hop scene, the Detroit star says, ‘The funny s**t is, with the whole beef a certain person, I never said I wasn’t a guest.’
    Feb 24, 2020
AceShowbiz – Lord Jamar doesn’t like the way Eminem admitted he’s a guest in the hip-hop scene. Following the Detroit star’s recent interview about the matter, the Brand Nubian member took to his Twitter account to roast his longtime nemesis.
He said on the micro-blogging site, “I guess his EGO wouldn’t allow him to say ‘Lord Jamar was right the whole time, & I was buggin for coming at him the way I did…my bad…I am guest in the house of Hip Hop.’ ” He then added in a separate tweet, “At least the EGO was quelled enough to admit what I’d been saying all along.”

“This s**t is case closed, now all together repeat after me…WHITE PEOPLE ARE GUESTS IN THE HOUSE OF HIP HOP THAT BLACK PEOPLE BUILT!” he continued. “Thank you and good night. (Drops mic and leaves podium.)”
Em has yet to respond back to Jamar.
During the interview itself, Em was asked whether or not he believes he’s a “guest in the house of Hip Hop.” Without mentioning Jamar’s name, Em responded, “The funny s**t is, with the whole beef a certain person, I never said I wasn’t a guest. I’m absolutely a guest. I never said I wasn’t. I never said I was king of anything, right?”
Em went on to say that he doesn’t want to be the “king of hip-hop,” and that he would never put himself above any other rappers. “I don’t want to be the king of hip hop. Who the f**k is the king of hip hop?” he said. “Is there a king of hip-hop? People would say, ‘Just because you sell the most records doesn’t mean you’re the best. Even though you can rap 40 million syllables doesn’t mean you’re the best.’ I care more about rhyming the syllables. I care more about the craft than any of the other stuff.”

Artist of the Week: Nicki Minaj

    Instagram

In such a short amount of time, the ‘Anaconda’ rapper manages to become one of the most popular female rap stars in the U.S. and build a large, loyal fanbase.
    Feb 24, 2020
AceShowbiz – Nicki Minaj is truly a force to be reckoned with. Through her music, she has inspired many people to be themselves and not to give a damn to what people say. Due to this, it’s no brainer that she managed to become one of the most popular female rap stars in the U.S. and build a large, loyal fanbase in such a short amount of time.
Every music she puts out has always been greatly welcomed by many and often became a trending topic on social media. Take her biggest hit, “Anaconda”, as an example. Its music video helped her become the first female rapper to have her music video surpassed 900 million views on YouTube with a lot of people attempting to do a parody of the iconic visuals.
Another example is her latest single, “Yikes”. Considering that the song marked her first song since she surprisingly announced her retirement, the hype leading up to its release was so big it trended on social media. It debuted at No. 23 on Billboard’s Hot 100 and at the summit of the Digital Songs component chart with 20,000 digital downloads.
Besides its great commercial performance, “Yikes” was well received by music critics. Complex listed the song among the best new music of the week, saying it’s nice to see “Nicki’s still got it.” The music publication also called the song a “cocky record that appears to target the ‘clowns’ on social media.”
However, “Yikes” is not a single off her new album. Nicki recently revealed that she would release the lead single off her upcoming album, which seemingly will find her taking on another alter-ego. During a short Q&A session with her fans on Twitter, the “Bang Bang” rapper described the new album as “Queen TF Sleeze.”

Justin Bieber Makes Surprise Performance at Kanye West's Sunday Service

    WENN/Instar/Avalon

The ‘Yummy’ hitmaker joins the husband of Kim Kardashian and sings Marvin Sapp’s emotional ballad ‘Never Would Have Made It’ during the latest Sunday Service in Los Angeles.
    Feb 24, 2020
AceShowbiz – Justin Bieber has made Kanye West’s latest Sunday service a memorable one. The “Yummy” hitmaker attended the “Stronger” rapper’s spiritual gathering in Los Angeles on Sunday, February 23, and treated the attendees to a surprise performance.
The husband of Hailey Baldwin shared a clip of him covering Marvin Sapp’s emotional ballad “Never Would Have Made It” via an Instagram post. Wearing a red hoodie, he serenaded the crowds, “I’m stronger, I’m wiser, I’m better, much better. When I look back over all you brought me through, I can see that you were the one I held on to.”
The “What Do You Mean?” hitmaker was not the only one stealing the spotlight at the event. Rapper Nas delivered a rendition of “Everything” from his eleventh studio album “NASIR”. Another spitter Roddy Ricch also showed up to perform “The Box” from his 2019’s “Please Excuse Me for Being Antisocial” album and “Ballin” from his “Perfect Ten” LP.
West himself took the stage to sing his Christian hip hop songs, “Jesus is King” and “Selah”. For the later song, he was joined onstage by his eldest child with Kim Kardashian, North, who was among the choir. The 6-year-old girl could also be seen in her mother’s Instagram Story singing and dancing to “Hallelujah” along with the other children.
On his participation at the Sunday service, Bieber has previously expressed his interest to perform in it. Back in July 2019, he reportedly said “yeah” when asked about it after attending a church conference in Los Angeles with wife Baldwin.
The musician, who is a regular at Los Angeles’ Hillsong Church, had performed the exact same gospel song at Churchome in Los Angeles in August 2019. At the time, he upload a video in social media and wrote a lengthy message about his belief in God. “God is pulling me through a hard season. Having trust in Jesus at your worst times is the absolute hardest,” he said.
“But he is faithful to complete what he started. I also want to thank my wife for being such a huge support in my life through this season.. it says in the bible count it ALL JOY when you face trials of various kinds,” the Canadian singer continued. “Sounds insane considering when u face trials u feel terrible.”

“But if we are grateful and worship god for what we do have in that season there is so much power in that… whatever pain you are going through just keep telling yourself THIS WONT LAST! Love you guys we in this together.”

Eric Church Makes His Collaborators 'Uncomfortable' During the Making of New Album

    WENN/Judy Eddy

The ‘Hell on the Heart’ crooner compares the making of his upcoming studio installment to the horror movie ‘The Shining’ because he wants to do ‘something nuts.’
    Feb 23, 2020
AceShowbiz – Eric Church purposely made his collaborators “uncomfortable” while they worked on his upcoming album.
The country music star is putting the finishing touched on the follow-up to 2018’s “Desperate Man”, and during a Q&A with radio personality Lon Helton during Country Radio Seminar in Nashville, Tennessee on Thursday, February 20, 2020, how opened up on his unusual working method.
“I felt like it was time to do something nuts,” he said, describing how he took up residency in a restaurant converted into a studio in Banner Elk, North Carolina.
“The goal was to write and record 28 songs in 28 days. I’d write a song in the morning, we’d cut it that night,” he explained. “We removed all the barriers. Chase that as hard as you can, move on. For me, it’s as far out there as I have gotten.”
The “Hell on the Heart” hitmaker said he immersed himself in the isolation, describing the situation as, “kind of like (horror movie) The Shining,” in which a frustrated writer seeks out inspiration by taking a caretaker’s job in an isolated mountain resort.
“Looking back at what came out of it, everyone needed to be uncomfortable. The writers had no clue what they were in for. All that is what made it great.”
The new album follows a string of guest appearances from the star, including the Keith Urban collaboration “We Were”, and Luke Combs’ new single “Does to Me”.
