    AceShowbiz – Queen + Adam lambert recreated the band’s Live Aid performance for Sunday’s February 16, 2020 Fire Fight Australia benefit gig.
    Lambert belted out the songs Freddie Mercury and his bandmates performed in 1985 at Wembley Stadium in London, including “Bohemian Rhapsody”, “Radio Ga Ga”, and “We Are the Champions”.
    Queen and Lambert took the stage at Sydney’s ANZ Stadium alongside John Farnham, Alice Cooper, Michael Buble, Tina Arena, and 5 Seconds of Summer to raise funds for relief efforts linked to Australia’s record bush fire season, which raged out of control for weeks at the end of 2019 and the beginning of 2020.
    To honour the late Mercury during Queen’s Fire Fight Australia set, video screens onstage featured clips of the rock icon performing at Live Aid.

    AceShowbiz – Justin Bieber has dedicated his new album “Changes” to his wife Hailey Baldwin.
    The couple first dated in 2015, and was linked again in May 2018. After the “Yummy” hitmaker proposed in July 2018 Justin and Hailey exchanged vows just two months later.
    The “Yummy” hitmaker has been through a number of challenges over the past couple of years, including battling mental health struggles and Lyme disease, and after crediting Hailey for pulling him through, he’s now dedicated his new release to his love.
    “One of my favourite songs on the album is called ‘Forever’,” he told Britain’s The Sun newspaper. “I don’t know if you’re married or have a special person, but the thought of being with my wife for ever just gives me chills.”
    He added, “We talked this morning. She’s in L.A. right now and I miss her so much already, but my whole album is dedicated to her and my love for her. I really hope that translates.”
    And Justin admitted it’s not just love songs he writes about his wife – he also uses his music as a release for his anger.
    As he sings on one of his new tracks, his frantic love life has even proved a useful outlet for his anger and frustrations.
    “At times we all get frustrated and upset. My song ‘Take It Out on Me’ on the new album is all about that,” he said. “I’m letting my wife know that whatever is happening, however she feels, she can take it out on me – you know, in the sack, if you know what I mean.”
    “Changes” is out now.

    AceShowbiz – Cody Simpson’s new music is inspired by the sober lifestyle he and girlfriend Miley Cyrus have adopted.
    The couple began dating last October 2019, following the “Slide Away” star’s split from ex Liam Hemsworth, and the pair reportedly bonded over their similar lifestyles.
    Speaking with InStyle Australia, the 23-year-old credited sober living with allowing him to be successful in so many different fields.
    “Now I’m more interested in immersion and feeling good, sharp, open and clear. I found that being sober helps with that a lot,” the star explained. “I can’t say I’m going to do (sobriety) forever or even for the next year. It’s just that right now it’s what feels good.”
    The couple inspires each other creatively, with Cody’s single “Golden Thing” a tribute to his girlfriend, and he plans to use Miley as the inspiration for his upcoming album.
    “That’s one aspect of the style that you’ll be getting on the new record,” he said of his upcoming love songs.

    AceShowbiz – Mariah Carey has been confirmed as the headliner for Britain’s world famous Brighton Pride event.
    Reports had claimed the “Touch My Body” singer would follow in the footsteps of Britney Spears and Kylie Minogue by performing at the LGBTQ+ event in August 2020, and organisers confirmed the news on Friday, February 14, 2020.
    Although it was rumoured Mariah would only play a shorter 45 minute set, Brighton Pride chiefs announced she will be on stage for more than an hour.
    “Excited to announce global superstar @MariahCarey, GRAMMY & GLAAD Award winner, and best-selling female artist of all time, will headline FABULOSO Pride In The Park on Saturday 1st August 2020 with a full 75 minute show!” a tweet announcing the news reads.
    According to a previous report in Britain’s The Sun newspaper, the singer is set to earn a “six-figure fee” for the gig.
    An insider told the publication, “Brighton Pride has set a precedent in the last few years for getting the biggest names, so securing Mariah is brilliant in proving they are one of the leading Pride events worldwide.”
    On Thursday, February 13, 2020, Brighton Pride chiefs revealed the other headliner at the two-day event – The Pussycat Dolls. They will close the event on Sunday, August 2.

    “I am still under the weather & will not be able to perform my #JustAGirlVegas show tomorrow, Friday, February 14 at @ZapposTheater at @PHVegas,” she tweeted. “I plan on returning for my shows February 15 – 22. Refunds will be available at their original point of purchase. So so sorry.”
    Stefani kicked off her Just a Girl residency at the Zappos Theater at Planet Hollywood in July 2018.

    AceShowbiz – Chris Martin has given his girlfriend, Dakota Johnson, a chance to make her directorial debut. Coldplay released a brand new music video for “Cry, Cry, Cry” on Valentine’s Day, February 14, and the “Fifty Shades of Grey” actress is unraveled to be one of its helmers.
    The 30-year-old actress teamed up with Cory Bailey for the three-and-a-half minute visuals that was filmed in Rivoli Ballroom in London and choreographed by Celia Rowlson-Hall. She also served as a producer of the video through her newly-launched production company, TeaTime Pictures.
    The music video itself sees Martin and his bandmates playing a house band at a ballroom where a couple dances through life’s obstacles side-by-side. It starts with the pair walking into the ballroom as teenagers and follows them as they grow older. Nearing the end of the video, they are presented as old couple who is still dancing, albeit more slowly, with their love intact.
    Throughout the ’50s doo-wop ballad video, Martin sings, “In a book about the world/ Called the luminous things/ There are trees and flowers growing/ While Jizo Bodhisattva sings. When you cry, cry, cry, baby/ When you cry, cry, cry/ When you cry, cry, cry, baby/ I’ll be by your side.” He ends the song by crooning, “For your miracles outnumber all the stars out in the sky.”

    “Cry, Cry, Cry” is a track from “Everyday Life” album that was released on November 22, 2019. It debuted at No. 1 on the U.K. Albums Chart and was deemed as the U.K.’s third-fastest selling album of 2019, following Ed Sheeran’s “No.6 Collaborations Project” and Lewis Capaldi’s “Divinely Uninspired to a Hellish Extent”.
    Talking about the album’s vulnerability aspects, Martin told Rolling Stone, “Between you and me and everyone who’s watching, we had to grow a bit of balls to be able to do this one.” He added, “It’s the first time we really said what we think about some things. And it’s trying to be empathetic and it’s a bit unfiltered. It’s completely unfiltered. It’s very raw and pure.”

    AceShowbiz – Charli XCX has slammed the organisers of the Reading and Leeds festivals for booking a male-dominated lineup.
    Organisers of the U.K. music event have come under fire for their male-dominated bill, with only 20 female or mixed-gender acts announced as performers on Tuesday, February 12, and no headliners.
    Speaking to U.K. music website NME at their annual awards bash on Wednesday, Charli condemned Reading and Leeds chiefs for failing to respond to past criticism over line-ups that have only featured one female-fronted headliner, Paramore, in 20 years.
    “They just need to book more women, but the thing is that this conversation has been going on for so long,” Charli said. “I feel like this literally happened last year with Reading & Leeds.”
    “The lineup came out and everybody was like, ‘There aren’t enough women on this lineup’. Nothing has changed. Nothing. What can be done? It’s our responsibility to talk about this and be as open as we can.”
    However, she also believes record companies also have to act to improve representation, adding: “The change needs to come from the industry itself and the ground up. Yes, the festival needs to book females but the industry as a whole needs to recognise women working within it: producers, writers, A&Rs, executives, anything.”
    In a separate chat with the Daily Mirror, Charli also hit out at BRIT Awards chiefs for the lack of female representation in their Album of the Year or Best Group categories.
    “What the f**k is that about?” she raged. “It’s what everyone has been saying. Women don’t just deserve to be in the female categories, we’re not the subplot, the warm-up act, we’re the main event.”

    Her criticism follows a promise by The 1975 frontman Matty Healy that his band, who headlined the event last year, will only play gender-balanced festivals.
