    AceShowbiz – Chance the Rapper has been picked to host the 2020 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards.
    The Grammy winner has announced the big news in a statement, revealing he’s “due for a sliming” – a nod to the prizegiving’s famously messy antics, where presenters are covered with green goo.
    The star skipped last year’s ceremony, where he, DJ Khaled, Justin Bieber, and Quavo shared the Favorite Collaboration title for their hit “No Brainer”.
    “Last year I wanted to be at the KCAs to accept my awards and I wasn’t able to be there,” he adds, “so my slime meter is low right now.”
    Meanwhile, “Avengers: Endgame”, Lil Nas X, and Taylor Swift look set to be the big winners, landing a host of nods.
    The final “Avengers” movie is up for Favorite Movie, while many castmates are also nominated in the actor categories, and Lil Nas X’s four nominations include Favorite New Artist and Favorite Song – for “Old Town Road”.
    Swift has landed mentions in the leading music categories and one for her role of Bombalurina in the movie flop “Cats”.
    The awards show will be held in Los Angeles on March 22, 2020.

    AceShowbiz – Jennifer Hudson will honour the late Kobe Bryant during the 2020 NBA All-Star Game on Sunday, February 16, 2020.
    The former Los Angeles Lakers player died in a helicopter crash last month, alongside his teenage daughter and seven other victims.
    On Thursday, the National Basketball League announced the Oscar winner will open the game with a special tribute to the sportsman. Hudson previously paid her respects when news of his passing was announced.
    “It’s like every time I go to sleep and then wake up somebody else is gone ! This news Hurts my heart so bad !” she wrote at the time.
    Other artists are set to perform throughout this year’s All-Star Game broadcast, including Chance the Rapper, who will perform a halftime show along with Lil Wayne, DJ Khaled, and Quavo.
    Chaka Khan will sing the U.S. national anthem, with country music star Tenille Arts performing the Canadian anthem.
    The format of the game itself will also be reworked to honour Bryant, with a fourth quarter target score being introduced as opposed to the usual time limit.
    The target score is decided by adding 24 points – in honour of Bryant’s jersey number – to the winning score after three quarters, with the first team to reach the goal winning the game.
    The game will be held at the United Center in Chicago, Illinois – home of the Chicago Bulls.

    The 50-year-old has taken to Twitter to let fans know her “Just A Girl” concerts in Sin City are on hold due to health issues.
    “I am so sad to announce that I am still unwell… I am resting and doing everything I can to return for my shows on February 14 – 22.”

    Scheduled concerts on Wednesday and Thursday night have been axed.
    Gwen also had to cancel her weekend performances last week because of the illness.

    AceShowbiz – Camila Cabello finds her hero in DaBaby. On Wednesday, February 12, the “Havana” hitmaker released a brand new music video for “My Oh My”, the final single from her second studio album “Romance”, unveiling the “BOP” rapper’s part in making her a cinematic star.
    The black-and-white promo, which oozes 1920s Hollywood vibes, starts with the 22-year-old singer being presented as a struggling silent movie star. Aspiring to be more than just a doll face, she is left frustrated by her inability to convince film producers to take her seriously and to let her be a heroine in a movie.
    It is not until the former member of Fifth Harmony goes to a bar that she meets up-and-coming movie mogul DaBaby. Breaking out of her good girl mold, she impresses him with her sword-wielding skills. After he buys her out of her contract, colors comes to her world and she lands a starring role in his production of “La Bonita Blade” where she is introduced as “Killer Cam.”
    The music video comes from the hands of director Dave Meyers. In less than 10 hours since its debut on YouTube, it has gotten more than 2 million views. The song itself has stayed on the Billboard Hot 100 chart for nine weeks. It peaked at No. 31 since its release in early January, joining her hit single “Senorita”, which also came from the same album, in the chart.

    Prior to the release, Camila made use of social media to tease a number of her looks featured in the video. Along with the photos, the girlfriend of Shawn Mendes asked her followers, “what do you think will be the storyline of the music video for my oh my ? we’ll see who’s proven right next week hehehehehe.”

    On the release date of the video, Camilla once again turned to Instagram to share a mock poster of it. She wrote on its caption, “WATCH AN UP AND COMING FILM MOGUL AND A STRUGGLING ACTRESS FIND EACH OTHER IN THIS THROWBACK ADVENTURE!!!!!!!!! finally!”

    AceShowbiz – Zayn Malik has no plans to return with new music despite online rumours suggesting he’s set to drop a new collaboration this week (begins February 10).
    Fans on Tumblr began speculating the former One Direction singer was gearing up for a comeback when one user shared a blog post explaining he was set to drop a new track with Brazilian artist Rafael Allmark on Wednesday.
    The tune, titled “Fugir”, was rumoured to only be available on iTunes Brazil and was released on the singer’s 2019 self-titled EP. Zayn had reportedly contributed a new English verse to the track.
    However, taking to Twitter, the “Pillowtalk” hitmaker denied all knowledge of the release, writing to fans: “Yo! thank you so much for letting me know about this.”
    “I do not have any new collaborations coming so please just keep checking here for any news. You know you will always be the first to know. Spread the word.”
    Fans quickly took to the comments to interact with the star following the rare social media post, and begged him to release new music soon. Some also used the “#FreeZayn” hashtag, suggesting he was being held back from releasing new projects by his record label, RCA Records.

    There were also wins for Liam Gallagher (Best Music Film for “As It Was”), slowthai + Mura Masa (Best Collaboration), Easy Life (Best New British Act), The Cure (Best Festival Headliner), and Foals (Best Live Act), while Courtney Love was handed the Icon Award and rockers The 1975 scored the Innovation Award.
    And there was a big upset in the Best Film category, with “Blue Story” beating out “Hustlers”, “Joker”, “Midsommar”, and “Once Upon A Time In Hollywood”, while “Peaky Blinders” triumphed over “End of the F**king World”, “Fleabag”, “Stranger Things”, and “Top Boy” to land the Best TV Series prize.

    AceShowbiz – Bhad Bhabie a.k.a. Danielle Bregoli makes it clear that she’s not a fan of Nicki Minaj even though she released a remix of the Trinidadian rapper’s new song “Yikes”. The teenage star blasted those who called her so just because of the remix.
    On Tuesday, February 11, she shared on her YouTube account her own brief remix treatment for the chart-topping song. On the 40-second freestyle, Bhabie flexes about “big checks, big house, fast cars” while calling out her competition in the rap game, “You h**s ain’t nuthin’ like me, see I’m the wifey/ Gave this h*e a little thing/ She started actin’ sheisty.”

    People were rather baffled to learn of her “Yikes” remix, considering that she used to shade Nicki in the past. This prompted people to assume that she had now become a fan of Nicki, and Bhabie wasn’t having it at all. Taking to Instagram Stories, she wrote, “Who ever thinks making a remix of a song makes you a ‘fan’ of the person y’all are dumb as f**kkkkkk.” The 16-year-old rapper later added that those who thought that way should seek help.

    Bhabie threw jabs Nicki a couple of times last year. She once accused the “Anaconda” rapper of not writing her own raps, leading to her getting roasted by the Barbz. However, she stood by her claims and hit back, “I forgot that Nicki’s fandom, majority of them are brainwashed and braindead and are just so in love with her that they believe anything she says or whatever.”
    Later in September, Bhabie once again stirred controversy when she claimed that Nicki was “salty” Cardi B took her spot. “No one told her to get salty,” she said at the time. “If she took Cardi under her wing and been like, ‘Yeah, that’s my b***h.’ She didn’t have to be all, ‘Ugh, I can’t stand another b***h taking my spot.’ Like sit your salty a** down and just deal with it.”
