    Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's Daughter North Shows Her Swag During Rap Performance

    AceShowbiz – Kim Kardashian’s oldest daughter seemed to have inherited her father Kanye West’s musical talents. On Saturday night, February 8, North West showed off her swag as she delivered a rap performance during a school dance at her private elementary school in Los Angeles.
    Surrounded by her classmates and their parents, the 6-year-old confidently lip synced an original song while rocking her body to the beat of the music. She was accompanied by her rapper father who looked closely at her and smiled from ear-to-ear. Several times during her performance, her father could be seen leaning down and whispering to her.
    The lyrics of the song itself contained a reference to YouTube personality JoJo Siwa. “And I’m friends with JoJo,” a part of the song could be heard. The lyrics also revealed that North is missing a friend named Hayden. “I miss you Hayden / it’s been a long time / we should get on FaceTime / so I can say hi,” it went.

    For the performance, North donned a black fringe jacket, black pants and and a pair of bright pink shoes. Her hair was styled in two long pigtails. Her father Kanye, in the meantime, rocked a yellow jacket and a pair of dark trousers.
    This was not North’s first public performance. In one episode of “Keeping Up with the Kardashians”, Kim talked about how her daughter regularly performed at her father’s Sunday Service. “North loves Sunday Service,” she shared. “And she just loves to dance, she loves to sings, she loves to be a part of just, the whole experience with her dad. Singing songs and being together.”
    North’s rap performance came one day before Kim and Kanye made an appearance at Jay-Z and Beyonce Knowles’ super private Oscars after-party. The power couple came to the bash held at Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles after attending the Vanity Fair Oscars Party. She wore a cream-hued, asymmetrical-shouldered Alexander McQueen gown, while the “Follow God” rapper kept it simple with a leather pant suit and sleek sunglasses.

    AceShowbiz – Aerosmith’s drummer Joey Kramer is set to return to the stage with his bandmates in Las Vegas on Monday night (February 10) just weeks after they told him he wasn’t good enough for their Grammy weekend shows.
    Kramer took the band to court last month (January 2020) after learning he had been “frozen out” of the group’s performances at the MusiCares Person the Year tribute and the Grammys themselves.
    Steven Tyler and the rest of the band made Joey audition for his spot after he underwent a shoulder injury that kept him offstage last year (2019), and when he failed to impress, they opted to use a replacement for the big shows.
    Kramer lost his bid for reinstatement, but now it appears his bandmates have had a change of heart and he’ll be back behind the kit for Monday night’s set in Sin City.
    Sources tell TMZ, the band feels Joey is back at his best.

    AceShowbiz – It seems keeping Jay-Z entertained is a hard thing to do, even for Omarion and Bow Wow. During an interview to promote their upcoming “Millennium Tour 2020”, the rappers recalled the time when Hov showed up to one of their “Face Off” tour stops at Madison Garden Square Garden in New York, only to leave after watching one performance.
    Bow Wow dished that the only reason Hov even came to the show was because he and Omarion were performing a cover of Hov’s collaboration with R. Kelly, “Best of Both Worlds”. He said, “He heard about it and said, ‘They perform ‘Best of the Both Worlds. That’s the first song that they come out on.’ Bow does [Hov’s] verse, [Omarion] does Kellz’s part.”
    He continued recalling, “So Hov comes to the Garden, stands in the tunnel, watches the intro and me and O are hyped. By the time the song was off, I looked in the tunnel, Hov was gone. He came to watch that one piece, there were twenty thousand in that motherf***er, he saw that s**t and then got in the car and drove off.”
    Elsewhere in the interview, the duo explained the reason why Bow Wow’s longtime collaborator Jermaine Dupri didn’t produce any of the tracks on their joint album “Face Off”. Omarion stated that it was because the “Growing Up Hip Hop: Atlanta” star fired the So So Def founder within a day of the production.
    Citing creative differences, Bow Wow then chimed in, “We didn’t even get a chance to record over a Jermaine Dupri track. Day one, we go into the studio and me, O, and Jermaine are just talking. I’m like, ‘I’m just not really feeling what the f**k he’s doing and the records that he wants to do.’ ” This prompted the two to have an agreement, with Jermaine challenging the two artists to make a hit without his help.
    “I gave y’all a No. 1 [hit on the Hot Rap Songs chart]. Y’all go ahead and make me proud and do it without me,” Bow Wow remembered what Jermaine said. “And we did it, and we end up having a f***ing successful album. It still sold like 755,000 copies and we dropped ‘Girlfriend’ and we was able to put out two singles.”

    AceShowbiz – Eminem has gotten candid about why he kept his first performance at the Academy Awards a secret. “The Real Slim Shady” rapper came out with the confession just hours after surprising viewers with a performance of his Oscar-winning song “Lose Yourself” at the 92nd annual prizegiving on Sunday night, February 9.
    When asked by Variety why it was so important to keep his performance secret, the 47-year-old MC admitted, “I don’t know.” He went on to explain, “I think it was either [the Oscars’] idea or Paul and [longtime publicist Dennis Dennehy’s] idea before they brought it to me. It was presented to me that way and I said, ‘Oh that’s kinda dope, to not even announce it.’ ”
    Speaking about the preparation for his Oscars performance, the “Godzilla” hitmaker recalled, “We flew in [to Los Angeles] last week, so we probably have four or five rehearsals just to make sure we got everything right. Most of the rehearsals were offsite, not in [the Dolby Theater], just trying to keep it secret.”
    During the chat, the father of three also explained why he chose 2020 as the year he delivered a rendition of his hit song. “I kinda figured maybe since I didn’t get a chance to do it at the time, maybe it would be cool,” he said before explaining why he didn’t attend the 2003 prizegiving event though his track was nominated for Best Original Song.
    “Back then, I never even thought that I had a chance to win, and we had just performed ‘Lose Yourself’ on the Grammys with the Roots a couple of weeks before the Oscars, so we didn’t think it was a good idea.”
    “And also, back at that time, the younger me didn’t really feel like a show like that would understand me. But then when I found out I won, ‘That’s crazy!’ That to me shows how authentic and real that award is – when you don’t show up and you still win. That makes it very real to me.”
    Asked if he was disappointed for missing out on the special moment, the “Love the Way You Lie” rapper replied, “I don’t know that I was disappointed, I was blown back by the fact that I won.” He added, “I don’t even think I understood back then that you could get an Oscar for a song, and I remember being kinda confused about why I was even up for one, because as a kid with the Oscars, it was like a vacuum.”
    Eminem was not the only one talking about his surprise performance at the 2020 ceremony. Oscars co-producer Lynette Howell explained that the MC’s participation was in line with the show’s “impact” theme. “We’ve been holding onto it for a while,” she added. “It was nice that we surprised people – we don’t usually get to surprise anybody in this day and age!”

    The “Nasty” singer will kick off the world tour in Miami, Florida in June and play a total of 34 dates in North America, before hitting Europe.
    The trek, staged to promote her new album – also called “Black Diamond”, will feature nightly performances of the “Rhythm Nation 1814” album, which recently marked its 30th anniversary.
    “Black Diamond” will be the singer’s first studio album since 2015’s “Unbreakable”.
    Sharing the news on her Instagram account, Janet wrote: “Hey U Guys! I’ve heard all your wishes and now from my lips to your ears. I’m working on my new album and going on a brand new World Tour this summer! Both titled Black Diamond.”

    “Black Diamonds are the toughest of all the diamonds, the hardest to cut. I see that as the hardest to hurt or destroy. There is a lot that I have endured. I see myself as a Black Diamond in its purest form. I’m a rock, I have ruff edges but I keep moving forward. I want to show you my strength as well as give you strength.”

    The iconic band has announced 40 shows on the back of their reunion for the Coachella festival in California in April that kick off in El Paso, Texas on March 26.
    Tom Morello and his bandmates will perform at a string of festivals, including Boston Calling, Firefly and Leeds and Reading in Britain, before concluding the trek in Krakow, Poland on September 10.

    All earnings from their first three shows in Texas, New Mexico and Arizona will benefit immigrant rights organisations, with the band pledging to continue to donate to several other charities throughout their trek.
    Run the Jewels will serve as the band’s opening act.

    AceShowbiz – Rapper Nicki Minaj was “bullied” into rush-releasing her new single, “Yikes”.
    The “Moment 4 Life” hitmaker’s latest material hit streaming services on Friday (February 07), days after teasing social media followers with a brief preview of the tune last Monday.
    Fans responded so well, Minaj claims she felt pressured to finish the song and release it to the masses – while her label chiefs also apparently pressed her to complete the track.
    The newlywed hip-hop star made the remarks in a Twitter question and answer session on Saturday, when one devotee asked her how Yikes came about.
    “I was playing a snippet for my crazy fans & they made me put it out,” she replied. “They are bullies. I only had 1 verse done. The label bullied me too. I’ve been bullied.”

    Minaj went on to share how she improvised the hook – and she loved it so much, she left it in.
    “I made up the hook with no (lyrics written on) paper,” she explained. “Just freestyled in the booth cuz (sic) I loved the beat. so the yikes part is me hearing the beat for the very first time. The verses I wrote down. The outro was a freestyle.”

    Yikes is Minaj’s first solo single of the year, but the initial teaser drew some harsh criticism after she referenced late civil rights activist Rosa Parks and her role in sparking the Montgomery bus boycott of 1955 in the lyrics.
    “All you b**ches Rosa Parks/Uh oh, get your a** up,” she raps on the track, which was previewed on the eve of what would have been Parks’ 107th birthday.
    TMZ subsequently reported that Minaj was blaming “bad timing” for the controversy, while sources alleged she didn’t mean to “offend or disrespect Parks”.
    However, Minaj has since made it clear she was unaware of any backlash – and she wouldn’t have taken notice anyway.
    “Never said this,” she posted on Instagram Stories, alongside the headline. “Had no clue anyone was mad. Don’t care. #Yikes”.

    The single is expected to feature on the follow up to 2018’s “Queen” album.

    The “ME!” singer, 30, is a massive fan of the hit show and, when she bumped into Phoebe at the Golden Globes last month (January), she apparently asked if her brother Austin, 27, could showcase his vocals on the soundtrack for the third series.
    According to Britain’s Daily Mail newspaper, Phoebe, who is the creator and also writes and executive produces the show, agreed to think about the request.
    Taylor and Austin are notably close, with her younger brother appearing in several of the hitmaker’s music videos – most recently in home movie footage for her holiday tune, “Christmas Tree Farm”.
    The actor has also landed roles in “I.T.”, alongside Pierce Brosnan, and in last year’s horror flick, “We Summon the Darkness”.
