Logan Paul Mocks Antonio Brown's NFL Career on Diss Track 'Going Broke'

    Instagram

The song also finds the YouTube personality questioning whether the free agent is truly as wealthy as he claims he really is and disses him over his legal woes.
    Feb 10, 2020
AceShowbiz – Logan Paul is taking his feud with Antonio Brown to a whole new level. Pushing for a boxing showdown with the former NFL wide receiver, the YouTube personality came out with a diss track that takes a jab at the free agent’s career downfalls and legal woes.
On Sunday, February 9, the 24-year-old unleashed the song titled “Going Broke” along with its mock music video via his YouTube account. In the over-three-minute clip, he could be seen sporting a New England Patriots jersey with Tom Brady’s No. 12 as a reference to the team who dropped the 31-year-old after only one game.
“No you should, no you should’ve never started with me/ No, you shouldn’t/ Say you ain’t playin’ games but your head look like some Tetris,” Paul spitted in part of the track’s verse. “Dropped by your agent and your lawyer, why you flexing?/ I’m here to save you, take the blessing/ ‘Cause your career fell apart like One Direction.”
In the diss track, Paul additionally made fun of Brown’s music foray with “Whole Lotta Money”, suggesting the athlete was not as wealthy as he claimed. “Yeah, Mr. Whole Lotta Money goin’ broke/ ‘Cause Mr. Whole Lotta Money gon’ choke,” he sang in the chorus. He further taunted the views of his rival’s music video. “Yo, take a hint, get the f**k off YouTube,” he belted out.

Paul teased about the diss track back in January. “Antonio Brown, despite causing a slew of problems with the law, has now denied two multi-multi-million dollar official offers to fight me,” he wrote on Twitter, tagging Brown along. “You’ve wasted my time and leave me no choice but to body you via diss track.”
On the boxing match itself, Paul first launched his challenge at Brown in late 2019. “Antonio Brown, I wanna f**k you up,” he said during an appearance on Barstool’s KFC Radio fresh off his rematch with British YouTuber KSI. In early January, Brown responded to Paul’s match invite by posting on Twitter, “square up @LoganPaul.”
It was not until Paul claimed he will drop Brown “faster than the Patriots” that the latter claimed to have enlisted former professional boxer Floyd Mayweather, Jr. to prepare him for the match. “2020 boxing match vs @loganpaul,” Brown bragged on Instagram. “my trainer @floydmayweather let’s get it…. Comment below if you coming to fight.”

Her powerful return to the music industry has been garnering praises from fellow musicians and critics, while her new song ‘Anyone’ has been doing well in charts.
    Feb 10, 2020

Her powerful return at the 62nd annual Recording Academy Awards is a proof of that, as she touched many people’s hearts with her emotional rendition of her new song “Anyone”.
Her raw performance at the award-giving event earned praises from fans and fellow celebrities. Pink, for example, admitted to being torn down by Demi’s set. “I’m so glad you’re here to sing those words, to sing like that. You just gave the whole world a gift straight from the heart.” Selena Gomez, on the other hand, said, “I wish there were words to describe how beautiful, inspirational and DESERVED this moment was. Demi I’m so happy for you. Thank you for your courage and bravery.”

It also garnered one million streams worldwide in no time and became the most downloaded song in the U.S. on Grammy day with over 11,500 sales on the day of the show and more than 27,000 sales within 24 hours of her performance. Meanwhile, a video of the performance accumulated more than 9 million views in less than a week.
Given its performance in the daily music charts as well as the positive responses the song got, it was no brainer that “Anyone” started off pretty good in the weekly chart. The song debuted at No. 34 on Billboard’s Hot 100 and arrived atop Digital Song Sales chart. It marked Demi’s first No. 1 single on the chart.
Seeing all the loves she received over the song, Demi admitted in an interview that she is “grateful that the response has been so awesome” and thought that “people are able to hear that song for what it is, which is a very emotional plea for anyone listening.”

Jennifer Lopez Fires Back at 'Too Sexy' Criticism of Super Bowl Halftime Show

    WENN/Avalon

Calling the backlash over her performance with co-headliner Shakira ‘silliness,’ the ‘On the Floor’ hitmaker insists it was ‘a celebration of women and our Latino culture.’
    Feb 10, 2020
AceShowbiz – Jennifer Lopez has fired back at critics who blasted her and Shakira’s Super Bowl Halftime Show performance as “too sexy”.
The “On The Floor” hitmaker, 50, received acclaim for her co-headlining slot at the big game on February 02, but some viewers took aim at the singers online for their sexy outfits and suggestive dance moves.
Speaking to Variety, however, Jennifer insisted the backlash was “silliness”.
“Both of us are really respectful performers who are mums and have kids and are very conscious of what we do,” she said. “We (put on) a show that I believe was a celebration of women and our Latino culture that I think was really well reserved.”
“And that small faction of people who want to be negative about it, it’s not something I can even let in because it was such an amazing night. So many beautiful things came out of it.”
Adding she’s “very proud” of the show she and Shakira delivered, the singer continued: “The message of standing up for yourself, being a women (sic). That’s what I want to pass on to little girls: You’re strong, you’re beautiful. Everything about you, be proud of it.”

Meanwhile, J.Lo has revealed rock legend Bruce Springsteen personally called to applaud the entertainer for the Super Bowl Halftime Show gig, during which she and her daughter Emme performed a snippet of his “Born in the U.S.A.” classic.
“He called after the Super Bowl and he was like, ‘You girls can really sing and dance!’.” Lopez told “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon”.

“He said him and his wife Patti loved hearing the song (sic). He’s like, ‘It made our hearts leap with joy.’ So that was a great thing.”

Grammy Organization Facing Investigation by California Attorney General

    grammy.com

Complaints about the Recording Academy have been received by the attorney general and are being examined following allegations of corruption and rape cover up.
    Feb 9, 2020
AceShowbiz – California Attorney General Xavier Becerra is examining a number of complaints about the Recording Academy’s governance structure.
The organisation has been shrouded in controversy since chief executive Deborah Dugan was put on administrative leave last month, January 2020 after just five months on the job, after making an allegation of misconduct.
She then fired back with a sexual harassment lawsuit against the Academy’s General Counsel, and made various serious accusations about the academy – including questioning the integrity of their voting process for the Grammy Awards.
According to Billboard, Becerra’s office has not formally launched an investigation, but the state attorney general’s office has received several complaints regarding the organisation’s board of trustees, the power of the academy’s executive committee and their approval of expenditures of millions of dollars in legal fees to two powerful law firms, as well its handling of a rape investigation of its former president and CEO Neil Portnow.
Officials with the Recording Academy insisted they are unaware of any investigation, telling Billboard, “We have not been contacted about any such review by the Attorney General or any other agency.”
The complaints also urged Becerra to look into the Recording Academy’s large expenditures, including $770,000 designated for hospitality at an event in September 2016 at the Four Seasons in Westlake Village. Officials from the Recording Academy insisted money is spent “judiciously.”
The state’s inquiry comes as the Recording Academy pursues an investigation of its own into issues cited in Dugan’s allegations of voting irregularities in the nomination process, sexual harassment and conflicts of interest within the board of trustees.
