AceShowbiz – This year’s Super Bowl Halftime Show is all about Latin. Jennifer Lopez and Shakira joined forces on Sunday, February 2 to deliver a high-energy medley of hits from their decades-long careers at Super Bowl LIV at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida.
Kicking off the set was Shakira, who belted out one of her classics. “She Wolf”, before launching into portions of “Empire”, “Whenever Wherever” and “Hips Don’t Lie” among other bangers. She even surprised viewers by delivering Cardi B’s “I Like It” while bringing out Bad Bunny onto the stage. And naturally, her set would not be complete without some belly dancing and crowdsurfing.
    J. Lo followed suit, performing a pole dancing before gifting both audience and viewers at home with a medley of some of her best hits that included “Jenny from the Block”, “Get Right” and “On the Floor”. Besides J Balvin, her daughter Emme joined her on the stage as she led as a vocalist in a chorus of children performing a slowed-down “Let’s Get Loud”.
The two Latin superstars ended their nearly 15-minute performance by performing together, with Shakira delivering a portion of her another hit “Waka Waka”.

Louis Tomlinson Uses Songwriting to Turn Family Tragedies Into 'Something Good'

    WENN/Mario Mitsis

During an appearance on ‘Today’, the One Direction member admits to needing ‘a good 18 months’ to work out exactly what his sound was when he work on his debut solo album ‘Walls’.
    Feb 3, 2020
AceShowbiz – Louis Tomlinson channelled the heartache of his family tragedies into the songwriting process for his debut solo album “Walls” to turn the negative experiences into “something good”.
The One Direction star was left devastated in March, 2019 when his 18-year-old sister, Felicite, died from an accidental drug overdose, just over two years after losing their mother, Johannah Deakin, to leukaemia in December, 2016.
Tomlinson, who had already paid tribute to his mum on the touching single “Two of Us” last year, has since assured fans he is in a “good place” emotionally, and part of his healing process involved using his creativity as a form of therapy.
“I think what’s amazing about songwriting is that sometimes you can take a negative and spin it into a positive, and all of a sudden, you’ve got something good from it,” he shared on U.S. breakfast show “Today”.

Tomlinson is the last member of One Direction to drop a solo album following the boy band’s hiatus in early 2016, but the singer admits he needed to take his time to find his own sound.
“It took me a second to get it right, really,” he said. “I think I had to develop for a good 18 months really, and tread water and work out exactly what my sound was, but I feel like I’ve landed there now, and I’m really happy.”
“Walls” was released on Friday (January 31), and Tomlinson is overwhelmed by the huge wave of support he’s already received for the album.
“I’m blown away,” he gushed. “It’s just another one of those examples where the fanbase show just how strong they are and how loyal and passionate (they are). It’s been an emotional 12 hours for me, it’s been a long time coming.”

Super Bowl LIV: Fans Mesmerized by Demi Lovato's Stunning Rendition of National Anthem

The Disney alum’s performance of ‘Star Spangled Banner’ is so stunning that someone even dubs it the best one since Whitney Houston’s rendition during the 1991 Super Bowl.
    Feb 3, 2020
AceShowbiz – Super Bowl LIV has finally started. Following her emotional comeback performance at the Grammy Awards, Demi Lovato helped kick off the annual big game at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida on Sunday, February 3 by delivering a rousing rendition of the National Anthem.
Looking entirely confident as she took the field before the San Fransisco 49ers versus Kansas City Chiefs’ game, the former Disney darling brought her amazing vocals and completely nailed “Star Spangled Banner” in a chic white pantsuit. By the end of her performance, the audience could be heard cheering loudly for her.

Not only the audience, but viewers at home also couldn’t help but be mesmerized by Demi’s stunning performance. Someone even dubbed her rendition the best one since Whitney Houston’s at the 1991 Super Bowl. “I literally have goosebumps. That was SO BEAUTIFUL, Demi Lovato,” one person highly praised the singer, while another jokingly said, “Can’t believe they decided to play football at a Demi Lovato concert. So disrespectful.”
“Demi Lovato’s vocals were hitting harder than the hot spoon during the National Anthem,” one other commented. Even Niall Horan praised his fellow singer by saying, “Yessss Demi !!! Nailed it. Congratukations…” Meanwhile, even though she didn’t express her admiration on social media, Blue Ivy was spotted among the audience recording Demi’s performance. As for her superstar mom, Beyonce Knowles, she was seen singing along.

It was understandable why Demi decided to do her very best for the National Anthem performance. After all, it was something that she had been dreaming since a long time ago. Prior to her performance, she took to Instagram to share a tweet that she wrote ten years ago. It read, “One day, I’m gonna sing the national anthem at a super bowl. Onnee dayyy…” Demi captioned the post, “Stealing this from @scooterbraun. Dreams really do come true y’all.”

Lady GaGa Shades Jennifer Lopez and Shakira Ahead of Super Bowl Halftime Show

    WENN/Adriana M. Barraza/Avalon

The ‘Born This Way’ hitmaker takes a dig at the Super Bowl halftime show co-headliners, reminding the two female singers to sing live at the February 2 sports event.
    Feb 3, 2020
AceShowbiz – Lady GaGa took a jab at Jennifer Lopez and Shakira ahead of their joint Super Bowl halftime show. “I better NOT hear any LIPSYNCING tomorrow!” the “Born This Way” hitmaker shouted during a performance at a pre-Super Bowl event in Miami.

J.Lo and Shakira are set share the stage at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida on February 2. They are expected to pay tribute to the late Kobe Bryant.
The Sunday event will mark the first time two recording artists command the halftime show. The idea of joint concert came after NFL allegedly had trouble finding an A-lister who’s willing to do the show amid controversy surrounding Colin Kaepernick.
Pink, Jay-Z, and Rihanna were among those turning down the gig in support of Kaepernick. “I’d probably take a knee and get carried out,” Pink explained why she rejected the offer.
Having two singers sharing a big stage was not without complications, however. Rumor has it, J.Lo and Shakira had an “icy” interaction ahead of the big show. J.Lo allegedly was not happy with the arrangement because she originally thought the show was hers alone.
“There were initial plans for them to perform a significant portion of the halftime show together – but that’s out the window. As of now, they’re just planning to appear briefly together at the end of the set. There isn’t any real feud, but there’s definitely a chill in the air between the two stars,” an insider claimed.
Lady GaGa herself headlined Super Bowl halftime show in 2017 at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas.

Elton John Abruptly Cuts Off Concert Due to Massive Storm

    WENN/Lia Toby

The ‘Candle in the Wind’ hitmaker is escorted off the stage and evacuated by his crew while he’s in the middle of ‘Funeral for a Friend’ performance due to extreme weather.
    Feb 3, 2020
AceShowbiz – Elton John was ushered off the stage by three of his assistants as a massive storm hit his show in Victoria, Australia on Friday, January 31, 2020 night.
The “Tiny Dancer” hitmaker is performing in the country as part of his Farewell Yellow Brick Road jaunt but, in footage shared online the singer, 72, fled the stage to avoid the downpour.
In a short clip, Elton is seen being ushered off stage, while a stagehand frantically covered a piano.
According to reports, Elton was playing his 1973 hit “Funeral for a Friend”, 95 minutes into his concert at Rochford Wines at Yarra Valley, Victoria, when hail and rain flooded the stage, causing the concert to be cancelled 15 minutes after Elton was ushered off.
Promoter Michael Chugg said the rain caused a shorted circuit in a statement, reported Britain’s Daily Mail newspaper.
“Unfortunately due to tonight’s short but heavy downpour that occurred 95 minutes into Elton John’s set resulting in damage to musical instruments and monitors on stage, the show could not continue,” he said.
Despite the freak downpour, the show apparently began very differently, with the “Rocket Man” star himself even commenting, “It’s f**king hot. Thank you for buying a ticket to the show. We love doing it, even though it’s hot,” according to the Herald Sun newspaper.

Usher Performs at Staples Center to Pay Tribute to Kobe Bryant

    WENN

The ‘Confessions’ singer delivers a moving performance of ‘Amazing Grace’ before the Los Angeles Lakers match against the Portland Trail Blazers to honor the late NBA star.
    Feb 2, 2020
AceShowbiz – Usher sung a stunning tribute to honour Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant as the team returned to the court on Friday, January 31, 2020 to play their first game since their former teammate lost his life in a helicopter crash last Sunday.
The NBA (National Basketball Association) player was one of nine people killed in the incident – alongside his 13-year-old daughter Gianna, who was also a talented basketball player.
Following the shock news, tributes have poured in for the sportsman, and as his former team resumed business on Friday, after cancelling a planned game earlier this week, they made sure to honour their pal.
For the match against the Portland Trail Blazers, every seat inside Los Angeles’ Staples Center was covered with a shirt featuring one of Kobe’s numbers – 8 and 24 – and two chairs on the players’ row of chairs were adorned with his and his late daughter’s jerseys.

While warming up for the game, the team wore Kobe’s jersey, and Usher made an appearance, dedicating a rendition of gospel classic “Amazing Grace” to his memory.
Kobe’s initials KB were also placed on the edge of the court and his numbers were written out in flower petals.

Following news of Kobe’s death, Usher led the stars campaigning for the NBA to change its logo to honour the five-time NBA champion writing, “Couldn’t be a better time or all around athlete and person for it #changethelogo.”
Meanwhile, his ex-teammates LeBron James and Anthony Davis honoured their late pal with new tattoos. LeBron got a snake in reference to Kobe’s Black Mamba nickname, with the words “Mamba 4 Life” on his left thigh, with Anthony opting for a similar design.

    Instagram

The ‘Lollipop’ hitmaker reveals he made last minute edits to his new album ‘Funeral’ to make a room for a tribute to the NBA hero following his sudden passing.
    Feb 2, 2020
AceShowbiz – Lil Wayne has rushed to the studio to include an honour to late basketball legend Kobe Bryant on his new album, “Funeral”.
The rapper added 24 seconds of silence to track number eight, “Bing James” featuring Jay Rock, on his 10th studio offering to pay respect to the sports hero, who wore the numbers 8 and 24 on the back of his jersey as a team star on the Los Angeles Lakers.
Lil Wayne gave a shout out to producers who worked tirelessly to edit in the tribute just hours before “Funeral” reached fans on Friday, January 31, 2020 during a morning interview on the Fox Sports 1 “Undisputed” television talk show.
The star also explained the fact that “Funeral” has 24 tracks is purely a coincidence.
Bryant passed away last weekend, January 26, 2020, aged 41, in a devastating helicopter crash that also claimed the life of his 13-year-old daughter Gianna. Seven other people also perished in the Calabasas, California accident.
