Christa B. Allen Invites Fans to Join Her on TikTok as She's Snubbed From 'Revenge' Reunion

    WENN

The Charlotte Grayson depicter explains why she’s not part of the upcoming virtual reunion of the ‘Revenge’ show and invites fans to hang out with her on TikTok instead.

    Jan 27, 2021
AceShowbiz – Actress Christa B. Allen has claimed she “wasn’t invited” to be part of the reunion of her hit show “Revenge”.
The screen star portrayed Charlotte Grayson on the U.S. TV show from 2011 to 2015 alongside Emily VanCamp, Josh Bowman, Gabriel Mann, and Madeleine Stowe.
And while Emily, Josh, and their former co-stars Nick Wechsler and Barry Sloane are taking part in a virtual “Revenge” reunion hosted by Tixr on 6 February (21), Christa has alleged she wasn’t asked to be a part of it.

She also referenced the costly upgrades which fans can buy in addition to the free tickets for the main reunion, such as a $200 (£146) ticket to play video games with Josh and Barry and $150 to receive a personalised video from Emily.
Reflecting on the reunion and her lack of involvement, Christa wrote on her Instagram page, “I’m getting a lot of DMs about the Revenge virtual reunion happening on February 6th. Of course I would’ve loved to be there with you all, but as per usual I was not invited. If the entry fee for this reunion is a bit much during these tough times, feel free to come hang out with me on TikTok live the same time, same day for free.”
When one fan suggested her “attitude” was the reason she wasn’t invited, Christa responded, “If standing up to bullying is wrong, I don’t want to be right.”
Madeleine, who played Christa’s character’s mum on the show, then praised her former co-star for her reply, writing, “You’re such a smart woman. I’ll have to get a Tik Tok just to watch you live.”

Khloe Kardashian Shares 'KUWTK' Almost Flopped

    E!

While it’s kind of sad, the Good American Jeans founder is grateful that it was how they started, noting that it allows her and her family to just have fun and ‘be ourselves’ without feeling pressured.

    Jan 26, 2021
AceShowbiz – “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” almost never happened, according to Khloe Kardashian. During her appearance on “The Kelly Clarkson Show”, the reality TV star revealed that the pilot “didn’t go anywhere” at first.
“I think we shot a pilot or something for [Ryan Seacrest] and it didn’t go anywhere,” the Good American founder told host Kelly Clarkson. She went on saying that they were given a chance after “a show on E! fell through, so they needed something to fill this dead air time.”
“They were like, ‘You’re getting on the show, start filming, you’re getting on the air, like, in two weeks,’ ” the mom of one recalled, adding, “We were so excited.” However, Khloe noted that she and her famous family were told not to get too excited. She shared that someone from the production told them, “Don’t get too comfortable here. It’s, like, just filler.”
While it was kind of sad, Khloe was grateful that it was how they started. “I actually really appreciate that because we were just thinking, ‘Oh, we’re not gonna have a season two, let’s just film, it’s fun, let’s just be ourselves. This isn’t gonna go anywhere,’ ” she added.

“We had no pressure on ourselves,” Khloe went on to explain. “We didn’t even have time to think about it; to really, like, have any pre-conceived, fake anything. It was just who we are on the fly and I think that’s what made the show so good…we just weren’t thinking.”
She continued, “And it turned out that was probably the best thing to happen to us because it was so, I think, relatable and realistic to some people.”
“Keeping Up with the Kardashians” will air its 20th and final season this year. Kim Kardashian announced the matter in an Instagram post in September 2020. “It is with heavy hearts that we’ve made the difficult decision as a family to say goodbye to Keeping Up with the Kardashians,” Kim wrote at the time. “After what will be 14 years, 20 seasons, hundreds of episodes and numerous spin-off shows, we are beyond grateful to all of you who’ve watched us for all of these years – through the good times, the bad times, the happiness, the tears, and the many relationships and children. We’ll forever cherish the wonderful memories and countless people we’ve met along the way.”
“Thank you to the thousands of individuals and businesses that have been a part of this experience,” she added, “and, most importantly, a very special thank you to Ryan Seacrest for believing in us, E! for being our partner, and our production team at Bunim/Murray, who’ve spent countless hours documenting our lives.”

'The Bachelor' Recap: New Women Arrive, One of Them Is Accused of Being an Escort

    ABC

Meanwhile, Katie approaches Matt James and has decided to tell him about the bullying going on in the house, saying that ‘the house just needs to be better’ and ‘it’s just a toxic environment.’

    Jan 26, 2021
AceShowbiz – The competition to win Matt James’ heart in his season of “The Bachelor” is not getting easier. Four weeks into the journey, ABC producers decided to bring new women to the show. Prior to their arrival, viewers saw how things were going following Sarah’s self-elimination.
While Matt didn’t cancel the group date, the women only got an after-party without a day date. He then had a private moment with Chelsea, who shared with him her own experience of being the only black girl among her friends. “I had chemically straightened my hair since I was 2 years old. All my friends were white, my school was white,” she said. “It’s definitely a unique experience that Black women have with their hair. So when I finally decided to share it, it was such an emotionally freeing experience.” Matt gave her a rose.
Meanwhile, Victoria and Katie had an argument at the house. “I think it’s rude the way you speak to me. I think you are a b***h,” Victoria told Katie. The latter then clapped back, “If you’re going to be rude to someone, especially someone who’s not here, I’m going to call you out. I think it’s unnecessary.”
Later at the cocktail part prior to the rose ceremony, Matt sat down with Pieper and Kit as he tried to get to know them better. He also had a great conversation with Bri. When Matt walked outside with Victoria, they were interrupted by host Chris Harrison. That was when he told the Bachelor that “there are some more incredible women that are dying to meet you, and want a shot at falling in love with you. They’re arriving right now.”
The first woman to arrive was Brittany, who didn’t waste her time to make out with Matt. Victoria wasn’t a fan of her and called her a “back-up.” Following her up were Michelle, Ryan, Kim and pagean queen Catalina, the latter of which came with a crown on her head. But then Victoria said, “I’m Victoria, like the queen, and I think I should have that crown actually,” before removing the crown from Catalina’s head and putting it on her own.
It was time for Matt to hand out the roses. He gave the roses to MJ, Pieper and Bri. Maggie and newbie Michelle also received the roses. Also getting the roses were Marie, Ryan, Kit, Serena C, Abigail, Katie and Victoria. Anna was both angry and nervous as Matt handed out the roses to Lauren, Brittany and Jennesia. There were two roses left and they were for Anna and Catalina. That meant Khaylah, Kaili and newcomer Kim were eliminated.

The next day, former “The Bachelor” star Ben Higgins came to visit Matt. He joined Matt and some women in a group date in which they had to do an obstacle course, including kayaking through a lake in giant pumpkins. Later at the night portion of the date, Matt and Anna sat down together but Brittany interrupted them midway. “It’s just… disrespectful. I know some dirt on you,” Anna said in confessional.
Later, Anna alluded that Brittany was an escort girl. “She may be having a transactional relationship with wealthy men,” so she told Victoria. She then confroted Brittany in front of everyone. “Brittany, I really want to talk to you. We’re all fighting for the same man, so I just want to make sure your intentions are pure,” Anna said “Coming into this, I was actually getting messages from people in Chicago and them just saying, ‘Watch out for this girl,’ that you’re an escort and all this stuff.”
“Wait, you were telling people in the house that?” Brittany asked. Anna responded, I think that’s an awful thing to say about someone, and I want to apologize, but also want to give you the space if you want to talk about why people were sending warnings about you when I literally have never met you.”
Denying the accusation, Brittany said, “I’m not an escort. It’s just so ridiculous to say that. To have that come out of my mouth… I’ve had a boyfriend my entire like… since I was 16. Making a conclusion about me before you even get to know me, that’s sh**ty. I don’t know. It just makes me — I just feel like everyone’s against me right now. I know you guys don’t care at all, but it’s really hard.”
Meanwhile, Matt and Michelle had a one-on-one date where they enjoyed riding a hot air balloon. “Today’s been incredible. I’m just up there, vibing with Michelle. It’s something about her presence, it puts me at ease. It feels like I’ve known her for a long time,” Matt said of his date with Michelle. Eventually, Matt handed out the rose to Michelle.
The next day, the women had a group boxing date with Matt. When Katie spotted Matt outside, she approached him and told him about the bullying in the house. “The house just needs to be better. It’s just a toxic environment,” she told Matt, adding that rumors could “ruin someone’s life.” She continued, “I just figured tomorrow… you could address it. Coming from you, I think it would mean a lot more to them.” It seems like Matt will take an action in next week’s episode.

Dolly Parton Could Do Her Potential Cameo in 'Grace and Frankie' Remotely

    Instagram

The cast and crew of the Netflix hit series have been preparing to resume filming on its seventh and final season, and Lily Tomlin claims they have a great role for the ‘9 to 5’ hitmaker.

    Jan 26, 2021
AceShowbiz – Dolly Parton is closer than ever to an onscreen reunion with Lily Tomlin and Jane Fonda on Netflix hit “Grace and Frankie” as producers are hoping to film her cameo remotely.
Longtime friends Lily and Jane have been trying to find a gap in Dolly’s schedule to stage a reunion of their 1980 movie classic “9 to 5” on their comedy series ever since the show launched in 2015, and as the cast and crew prepare to resume filming on the seventh and final season, Tomlin reveals they have potentially found a workaround to facilitate the country superstar’s guest appearance.
“We’re always hoping that will happen,” the comedy icon shared on U.S. breakfast show “Today”.
“(We have a) great role for her this time, I think she will, too…,” Tomlin added.

      See also…

“We think she can do it from remote (sic)… because she’s unbelievably busy. She’s always writing books or writing songs, or doing something for people or helping people in Tennessee…”.

Although Parton hasn’t had time to date to stop by the “Grace and Frankie” set in Los Angeles, she gave fans hope of an onscreen get-together in 2017 when she joined her two old pals to serve as guest presenters at the 69th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards.
In other news, Dolly credited her father for her work ethic. “Daddy used to go down to the courthouse where they had erected a statue of me,” the country music icon said in an interview with PEOPLE. “I remember myself being so proud of that statue. … I thought, ‘A statue of me in the courthouse yard? That’s usually reserved for presidents and people that have done really great things like that.’ ”
Dolly then revealed that when she went home, she asked her father, “Daddy did you know, they’re putting a statue of me … down at the courthouse?” To that, her dad told her, “Well yeah, I heard about that. Now to your fans out there you might be some sort of an idol. But to them pigeons, you ain’t nothing but another outhouse.”

Paul Mescal Jokes About Getting PTSD Due to 'Normal People' Sex Scenes

    BBC

The 24-year-old actor jokes about leaving with PTSD after ‘Normal People’ because it reminds him of Egyptian Magic body cream which he was always slathered with during sex scene filming.

    Jan 26, 2021
AceShowbiz – Paul Mescal has joked he “gets PTSD” when he’s reminded of Egyptian Magic body cream.
The actor and his “Normal People” co-star Daisy Edgar-Jones were slathered in the all-purpose balm when shooting sex scenes for the show to make them look as if they were bathed in sweat and the Irish star admitted just the thought of the product takes him back to filming.
“Honestly, I get PTSD whenever I hear the name,” he quipped during an interview with The Telegraph Magazine.
Asked if he could be the face of the cream, he laughed, “Well, obviously we’re in talks right now.”
Paul added that believes viewers need to be more “comfortable” seeing sex on screen and admitted he found the reaction to the raunchy scenes in Normal People “exhausting” because it shouldn’t be treated as such a big deal.

      See also…

“Oh it’s exhausting, isn’t it?” he sighed. “That really was one of the biggest surprises when the show came out. Because obviously there were sex scenes, but what kind of romantic drama today isn’t going to have those?”
“Sex scenes are always treated in this weird way, so it’s either all under the covers or you have to have music over the top because people can’t deal with heavy breathing – and that’s nonsense. I also think when a film-maker is embarrassed about shooting a scene, the audience inherits that embarrassment.”
“We have to move past that, and just try and get comfortable with the fact that people are naked sometimes in real life. And yes, they do sometimes have sex.”
Mescal also said he thinks the TV and film industry is filled with “inherent misogyny,” which is why people were surprised by how many nude scenes he had in the show.
“That’s the point. Because why wouldn’t there be parity?” he mused. “It’s just inherent misogyny in the industry and in the films that we’ve watched that makes us think that way.”
“Above all Normal People was about tenderness. And if you’re trying to portray an authentic relationship between two people who are young and having sex, then why wouldn’t there be equal nudity?”

WB and HBO Shut Down Rumors of 'Harry Potter' TV Series

    Warner Bros. Pictures

Warner Brothers and HBO streaming service have slammed reports suggesting that they are teaming up to develop a television project based on the famous J.K. Rowling book.

    Jan 26, 2021
AceShowbiz – Warner Bros. studio chiefs have shut down reports suggesting they are developing a “Harry Potter” TV spin-off series.
An article in The Hollywood Reporter hit headlines on Monday morning (25Jan21) when it was claimed a new live-action “Potter” project was in the works at U.S. streaming service HBO Max, which is backed by WarnerMedia executives.
The report alleged bosses were currently searching for writers to pen a potential series set inside the world of the hugely popular J.K. Rowling franchise, although it failed to offer up any further details as the talks are said to be in the very early stages.
However, officials from both Warner Bros. and HBO Max have since disputed the rumours.

In a joint statement issued to TheWrap.com, they insist, “There are no Harry Potter series in development at the studio or on the streaming platform.”
Rowling, who controls the rights to the franchise, has yet to comment on the news.
Her “Harry Potter” fantasy books have already spawned eight feature film adaptations, starring Daniel Radcliffe as the titular boy wizard, while a prequel movie series, titled “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them”, has also been a huge hit with fans, with a third instalment due for release next year (22).
There was also a stage production “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child” which served as a prequel to the books. It kicked off in the West End in 2016 before branching out to Broadway in 2018. It won multiple accolades including Best Play at Laurence Olivier Awards and Tony Awards.

The agency did not disclose the cause, but the suddenness of Ms. Song’s death brought to mind the series of suicides that has plagued Korean pop music in recent years.Alarms have long been raised over the pressures imposed by South Korean management companies on young entertainers, many of whom are groomed starting as teenagers to be pop idols. Their looks are closely scrutinized, and their tightly choreographed lives are often broadcast on social media platforms that expose them to both adulatory fan mail and hateful comments. For many, their time in the limelight is limited, if they ever reach star status. By their late 20s, some are considered replaceable.A number of the K-pop stars who have taken their own lives spoke of struggles with their mental health and the toll of cyberbullying. Ms. Song, an up-and-coming actress, had not mentioned publicly any such issues.Ms. Song began her acting career at 20 and appeared in commercials for Estée Lauder skin care products and for the ice cream chain Baskin-Robbins. In her breakout role in 2019, Ms. Song played a fresh-faced architecture student with a pixie cut, searching for her soul mate, in a web series called “Dear My Name.” She also acted in music videos. She was an advocate for people with disabilities, serving as ambassador for a South Korean group called Warm Accompaniment.Ms. Song’s agency called her “a great actress who performed with passion.” It did not immediately respond to requests for comment. The problem of suicide in South Korea is not restricted to the entertainment industry. The country has the highest suicide rate among the 37 developed nations that make up the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development. But celebrity suicides, involving actors and others, have been a fixture in the South Korean news media over the past decade or more. In recent years, attention has fallen most sharply on deaths in the K-pop industry, one of the country’s most successful cultural exports. In 2017, a singer, Kim Jong-hyun, killed himself at 27 after leaving a note saying that he had been overcome by depression. In 2019, Sulli, a 25-year-old K-pop star, took her own life after she had complained about the relentless cyberbullying she faced upon joining a feminist campaign that advocated not wearing bras.About six weeks later, her friend Goo Hara, 28, also killed herself, leaving a handwritten note about her despair.Ms. Goo had tried to reason with online critics, asking them to refrain from vicious comments.“Public entertainers like myself don’t have it easy — we have our private lives more scrutinized than anyone else and we suffer the kind of pain we cannot even discuss with our family and friends,” she wrote. If you are having thoughts of suicide, call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-8255 (TALK) or go to SpeakingOfSuicide.com/resources for a list of additional resources.AdvertisementContinue reading the main story More
