      Tamron Hall Defends Controversial Interview With 'Drag Race' Predator Sherry Pie: I Don't Give Free

      Despite pleas from LGBTQ+ commentators and former ‘Drag Race’ contestants to reconsider the interview, the ‘Tamron Hall Show’ host still goes on with her plan to have the admitted sexual predator as a guest on her talk show.

      AceShowbiz – Tamron Hall remained defiant over her controversial interview with “RuPaul’s Drag Race” alum Sherry Pie. Having drawn backlash for revealing that she would have the admitted sexual predator as a guest on her talk show, the “Tamron Hall Show” host stressed that she did not “give free passes” to him.
      The 50-year-old offered the clarification when opening the Tuesday, February 16 episode of her show. “I’ve been a reporter for 30 years. I’ve conducted and I’ve watched interviews with people who have done bad things,” she first said. “It’s not giving away your platform. It’s called an interview. And people who do bad things are interviewed.”
      “We believe the men who have gone on record about Sherry Pie,” she continued. “We believe in being fair and we don’t give free passes. I don’t give free passes. Sherry Pie agreed to an interview. No conditions. We’ve offered no opportunity to promote a book, a podcast, anything that could be seen as profiting. This interview is what we say every day on this show: Let’s talk about it. And that’s what we’re going to do.”
      Tamron’s statements came one day after she announced on Twitter that she would invite Sherry, whose real name is Joey Gugliemelli, on her show. Many of her followers, however, were quick to express their disappointment upon learning the news.
      One argued, “Why are you giving her a platform to speak when you don’t even care about her victims???!!! She doesn’t deserve to play the victim in all of this!!! I’ve never watched your show, and now I know that I never will.” Another wrote, “HARD PASS. I don’t tune in to shows that give platforms to sexual predators.”

      Also calling out the TV host was “RuPaul’s Drag Race” contestant Jackie Cox. Taking to his own Twitter page, Jackie raged, “I am publicly calling on @TamronHallShow to reconsider giving Sherry Pie access to the platform of national television to tell their side of the story without first speaking with the victims of her abuses and allowing them to weigh in on their own trauma.”
      Despite the heat, Tamron still pushed ahead with her plan to interview Sherry. In the Tuesday’s discussion, Sherry clarified, “There are no allegations. I admit to my wrongdoings. Beyond wrongdoings, just horrible behavior. I don’t know if after I do this interview if more will come forward. I’m here to just apologize.”
      “I am prepared to take any responsibility,” Sherry went on to claim. “I’m not here to hide… I didn’t want to be somebody who was accused of something and just kept denying, denying, denying. This was not something that I deep down felt good about doing.”

      Sherry was disqualified from “RuPaul’s Drag Race” in March 2020, days after the premiere of season 12. Sherry’s termination came following multiple catfishing accusations that were leveled against him.

      AceShowbiz – A new preview clip from “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” season 14 features Cynthia Bailey’s wild bachelorette party, where the infamous Strippergate allegedly takes place. In the sneak peak for the Sunday, February 21 episode of the Bravo reality show, the cast members can be seen breaking the fourth wall.
      The video, which was uploaded to Bravo Insider on Tuesday, February 16, features the ladies fully enjoying the lewd performance by male stripper Michael “B.O.L.O THE ENTERTAINER” Bolwaire while excitedly throwing money over him. At one point, Kenya Moore even puts some bills inside Bolo’s pants.
      “How many arms do you have?!” Porsha Williams asks in awe. Things get heated even more with Bolo putting his hand inside his pants in such a teasing manner, prompting the ladies to scream in excitement. Whatever they see, it surely makes their jaw drop with Cynthia asking, “Is this real?”

Let’s cut on our end.” When the crew walks away, the Housewives start to cover the remaining cameras. “It was like a group consensus, just cover the camera,” Kandi Burruss says in confessional.
      “Where is Bolo and his thang?” Porsha asks. Meanwhile, Kandi cheekily says, “Hopefully, we can get you guys to turn off the cameras for a while so that we can actually have fun.”

      It was reported that Porsha and Tanya Sam had a threesome with the male stripper at the wild bash. “[I was] hearing all these noises: sex talk and ‘F me harder,’ ” spilled a source. The insider also said that someone allegedly heard them getting it on for about an hour, adding, “She said when she thought they were finished, they started back up again.”

      The 62-year-old actor played Aragorn in Peter Jackson’s fantasy trilogy based on J.R.R Tolkien’s novel and admits that he would be keen on a return to the franchise – which is being adapted for a new TV series.
      Asked if he would consider coming back to “the Lord of the Rings”, Viggo said, “Yeah, why not? Tolkien, that’s a universe. There are so many influences. The foundation of his stories is Celtic mythology and history, and Nordic mythology and history, and languages. That’s fascinating.”
      The “Green Book” star admits that he doesn’t know much about the Amazon TV series but is looking forward to seeing the finished project.

      “I don’t know much about what they’re doing. I know there’s shooting in New Zealand, so I assume they’re taking advantage of the people there that have gone through it, especially Peter Jackson and his team.
      “I know it’s (J.A.) Bayona who’s shooting it, and he’s a very good director. That’s all I know. I don’t even know who’s in it.       Viggo recently explained how turned down the chance to play Wolverine in the “X-Men” movies as he didn’t want to commit to the part in “endless” sequels.
      He said, “The thing that bothered me at the time was just the commitment of endless movies of the same character over and over. I was nervous about that.”

      AceShowbiz – Fired “The Mandalorian” star Gina Carano found out she had been dismissed by Lucasfilm bosses via social media.
      The film chiefs revealed the former stuntwoman was “no longer an employee” after she came under fire for comparing being conservative in America to the persecution of Jews in Nazi Germany, and she reveals executives didn’t even contact her to tell her she was gone.
      In a new interview with journalist Bari Weiss, she explains she found out she was no longer attached to the hit Disney+ series “through social media, like everyone else.”
      Carano also told the former New York Times writer Disney bosses previously barred her from doing any press for “The Mandalorian” second season following her ill-advised mockery of pronoun usage.

      “Earlier on last year before The Mandalorian came out, they wanted me to use their exact wording for an apology over pronoun usage. I declined and offered a statement in my own words,” Gina says. “I made (it) clear I wanted nothing to do with mocking the transgender community, and was just drawing attention to the abuse of the mob in forcing people to put pronouns in their bio.”
      She finally caved in to Disney pressure, stating, “I didn’t want to take away from the hard work of everyone who worked on the project, so I said, ‘OK.’ That was the last time I was contacted about any type of public statement or apology from Lucasfilm.”
      Carano has since removed the Instagram post, in which she compared conservatives and persecuted Jews during World War Two.
      Disney and Lucasfilm bosses released a joint statement last week (10Feb21), which read, “Gina Carano is not currently employed by Lucasfilm and there are no plans for her to be in the future. Nevertheless, her social media posts denigrating people based on their cultural and religious identities are abhorrent and unacceptable.”

      AceShowbiz – “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” star Charisma Carpenter has apologised to her former castmate, Eliza Dushku, for not speaking out during her sexual misconduct case.
      Dushku was among Carpenter’s former “Buffy” co-stars, who have supported her since she accused the show’s creator, Joss Whedon, of “mean and toxic” behaviour on set last week (ends12Feb21).
      And now Charisma feels awful about not backing her fellow actress when she spoke out about workplace misconduct on the set of U.S. series “Bull”.
      Eliza accused the show’s star Michael Weatherly of harassment in 2018 and won a $9.5 million (£6.8 million) settlement from CBS network chiefs after she was fired from the show.
      Commenting on Dushku’s public post on Instagram, Carpenter wrote, “I owe you an apology. I never lent my voice to you privately nor publicly when you shared your truth after suffering sexual misconduct in the workplace.”

      In her original statement, the actress said, “For nearly two decades, I have held my tongue and even made excuses for certain events that traumatize me to this day. Joss Whedon abused his power on numerous occasions while working together on the sets of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel.”
      “While he found his misconduct amusing, it only served to intensify my performance anxiety, disempower me, and alienate me from my peers. The disturbing incidents triggered a chronic physical condition from which I still suffer. It is with a beating, heavy heart that I say I coped in isolation and, at times, destructively.”
      Whedon has still not commented on the accusations.

      The 61-year-old socialite and fashion designer – mother of Paris and Nicky Hilton – has signed up to the Bravo show for its upcoming 11th season, joining her sisters Kyle and Kim Richards, long-time cast members.
      But her daughter has admitted she’s not a fan of seeing her family “argue on national television” and all of the “drama” caused on the programme.
      Speaking in a teaser clip for her new “This Is Paris” podcast about her parent’s new gig, the former “Simple Life” star admitted, “I don’t know what to think. I haven’t watched that show actually in a while. I used to watch it in the beginning. But then it’s so much drama.”

      “I feel like those type of shows feed off of that and they want everyone to fight and they love the drama. I just don’t want my mum having to argue with people on national television.”
      Kathy’s decision to sign up for the new season came after Teddi Mellencamp and Denise Richards departed the reality series.
      The latter said it was a “really tough decision” to leave the show after just two seasons, but ultimately felt it was “time to move on.”
      “It was actually a really tough decision. I’ve been a fan of the show and had a lot of fun doing my first season. Obviously my second season was very challenging,” she said at the time. “You know, I went back and forth with it and at the end of the day, I decided it was time for me to move on and focus on other projects that I have. I’m glad that I did it though.”
