Speaking of her partnership with the Duke of Sussex on the Apple TV Plus series, the OWN founder reveals it was Meghan Markle’s husband who approached her about working together.

    Jan 4, 2021
AceShowbiz – Prince Harry’s Apple TV+ series with Oprah Winfrey has reportedly been delayed.
The Duke of Sussex joined forces with the TV mogul to create a mental health documentary series for the streaming service and although it was supposed to be released last year (20), the show is now not expected until at least spring 2021.
According to sources at Britain’s The Sun newspaper, “Covid-19 restrictions, Harry’s exit from the Royal Family and move to the U.S. have slowed down production.”
Harry and his wife Meghan Markle previously announced the show on their Sussex Royal Instagram account in 2019.
The post said, “We are excited to announce The Duke of Sussex and Oprah Winfrey are partners, co-creators and executive producers on their forthcoming mental health series launching on Apple in 2020.”

Oprah revealed that it was Harry who approached her about working on the show together, and they are both credited as co-executive producers.
She said, “We were having a discussion about, ‘What are the things that really matter to you in the world?’ And I’d asked Prince Harry that, and he said, ‘Climate change and mental health wellness.’ ”
“I went, ‘Gee, me too!’ So, from there, the conversation went to, ‘I’m doing this thing for Apple…’ and when I finished the conversation, he said, ‘Oh, if you need any help with that Apple thing…’ (and I was like), ‘Actually, I do!’ Would I have asked him? Probably not, so that’s how that (partnership) came about.”
Meanwhile, since quitting as senior royals last year, Harry and Meghan have moved to the U.S. with their son Archie and signed deals with Netflix and Spotify for assorted projects, including the couple’s first podcast which debuted in December (20).

Popping up on the BBC show, the Duke of Sussex voices his genuine appreciation of what the Invictus Games medallist has achieved since losing two fingers during a bomb blast in 2011.

    Nov 16, 2020
AceShowbiz – Prince Harry stunned viewers of hit U.K. show “Strictly Come Dancing” on Saturday, November 14 when he appeared on TV to cheer on a pal.
The Duke of Sussex made the surprise cameo on the BBC programme to give Invictus Games medallist J.J. Chalmers a boost as he prepared to dance with his partner Amy Dowden.
“We’ve got somebody here who wants to see you,” Dowden told Chalmers during a training session, as the Duke of Sussex appeared onscreen with a video message.
“When I first met J.J. he was a shell of himself, but then to see you shine through Invictus and feel like yourself again, that was the start of an amazing journey,” Harry said. “I’m so genuinely proud. You’re not a dancer, proving that you can do anything you put your mind to, which is amazing.”

Chalmers lost two fingers during a bomb blast in 2011, while serving with the Royal Marines in Afghanistan. Three years later, he captained a cycling team to gold at the Invictus Games.
Paying tribute to his royal mentor, Chalmers said, “The simple fact is, if Prince Harry had not created the Invictus Games, I would not have had that catalyst moment to change my life forever. You know that your vision going into the games was to take this cohort of individuals and send them off so that they could have an impact on society.”
Harry then joked, poking fun of Chalmers’ new look, “You’re definitely having an impact on society, especially when you’re wearing those tight blue shorts!”

Prince Harry Joins Jon Bon Jovi at Abbey Road Studios to Record Charity Single

    Instagram

A video shared on the Sussex Royal Instagram account shows the Bon Jovi frontman strumming his guitar after coaching the Duke of Sussex in a recording booth with headphones on.
    Feb 29, 2020
AceShowbiz – Prince Harry and Jon Bon Jovi joined forces at the famous Abbey Road Studios in London to record a charity single on Friday, February 28.
The rocker and the royal are teaming up with the Invictus Games Choir to record a version of Bon Jovi’s veteran-inspired track “Unbroken” for the Invictus sporting tournament Harry founded for injured ex-soldiers.
After meeting on the steps of the building, the pair went to Abbey Road’s studio two, where The Beatles recorded many of their hits in the 1960s. But first they also recreated the famous cover to The Fab Four’s “Abbey Road” album by posing while walking across the iconic level crossing outside the studio.
A video shared on Harry’s Sussex Royal Instagram account showed the “Always” hitmaker coaching him in a recording booth with headphones on, with the musician strumming a guitar and telling the singing novice it would be “really easy” and to “breathe”.

Footage posted on Twitter by Daily Mirror royal correspondent Russell Myers also showed the pair discussing the contribution of the choir, a group made up of injured ex-service personnel originally formed for the 2016 edition of the games, to the record.
Bon Jovi said that he found their “desire to serve” and stories “touching” and that they “became a rock band” when singing “Unbroken”.
Both of the rock star’s parents served in the U.S. Marine Corps, and he recorded “Unbroken” for the 2019 documentary film “To Be of Service”, which focused on the stories of ex-soldiers suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder.
The new charity version of “Unbroken” featuring Harry will debut next month, ahead of the games, which will take place in The Hague in the Netherlands in May. Proceeds from the single will go to the Invictus Games Foundation.
