Tipping Point contestant James was on the brink of elimination during Friday’s episode, only make a spectacular comeback.
With just £100 in the bank before making a clever move in the slot machine, presenter Ben Shephard was in disbelief after witnessing James’ spot of good luck.
Suddenly, his kitty shot up to a whopping £1,600, meaning his rival Patrick was eliminated and he made it through to the semi-final.
On top of the incredible sum of money, James also landed the mystery prize, making for a rare Tipping Point double whammy.
Floored by his good fortune, James remarked: “I did not see that coming.”
Impressed, Ben exclaimed: “What a comeback James!”
“I know, I’m shocked. I’m genuinely shocked,” James replied, unable to stop himself from smiling as he geared up for the next round of questions.
Meanwhile, over on Twitter, viewers were similarly impressed by James’ performance, as they gushed over the surprise victory.
One said: “Wow, well done, lovely James!”
“That was some drop #tippingpoint,” wrote a second.
“Jamesy boy getting that big drop,” chimed a third.
And a fourth enthusiastic fan wrote: “#tippingpoint James! That was excellent!!!!!
James’ luck didn’t stop there, as the dad-of-two managed to trump his rival, fashion journalist Jazz, and make it into the final round.
Still reeling over James’ major drop, Ben exclaimed: “Quite a turnaround in fortunes I would say.”

“Considering where I was in the beginning…” James replied, referring to his miserable score at the start of the game show.
Hoping to win enough dosh to buy a deluxe Lego set for his two daughters, the Tipping Point player opened up to Ben about his plans to “buy more Lego”.
When James revealed he had his eye on the Millenium Falcon Lego set, Ben admitted he had already built the enormous warcraft with his own sons.
He said: “Me and the boys have made that at our house. It was pretty epic, it was a marathon building session.”
