Broselianda Hernández Boudet has reportedly been found dead near Miami beach, according to the New York Post.
The actress, who has more than two decades experience in the showbiz world, was reportedly found dead near the shoreline after nipping out to buy cigarettes.
Broselianda Hernandez, 56, had reportedly been living in Miami for a few years after enjoying a fruitful career in Miami, authorities have said.
The medical examiner’s office has not yet determined a cause of death, but no foul play is suspected in the case..
A Miami Police spokesperson said a witness called police early Wednesday morning to report they had found a body near the Miami Beach shoreline.
Officers and firefighters later confirmed it was Hernandez.
Local Miami news outlets reported that her family said she had gone out to buy cigarettes, however, she never came home or returned calls.
Hernandez was best known for appearing in a number of Cuban soap operas during the 1990s.
She appeared on When Waters Return To Land and Women of Honour.
Hernandez, who was originally born in Havana Cuba, also appeared in a number of Cuban films such as Habanera and Things I Left in Havana.
She studied at the Instituto Superior de Arte.
Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel shared his condolonces on Twitter on Wednesday.
Taking to Twitter, he penned: “Farewell to an exceptional actress named Broselianda. We mourn her early loss. Our condolences to her family and friends.”
