Holly Willoughby has uploaded a sweet Instagram of herself alongside long-time friend and This Morning co-host for Phillip Schofield after he announced he was gay in an emotional statement.
The ITV presenter bravely came out as gay on Friday, and posted the heartfelt message across all his social media channels, and spoke about the revelation on This Morning.
Since the announcement, Holly revealed she’s “proud” of her presenting pal.
Underneath a snap of the duo taken at this year’s NTA, she wrote: “Never been more proud of my friend than I am today. We’ll be together at 10am on This Morning x.”

On Friday’s episode of the daytime show, Philip fought back the tears as he opened up about his struggles and “not being honest” with himself.
“It’s tough but this is not something that’s happened quickly, I’ve had to deal this in my head for quite some time,” he told Holly.
“I got to the stage where I thought we sit here, every day, and some amazingly brave person is sitting over there and I’m thinking ‘I have to be that person’.
“All you can be in your life is honest with yourself. I was getting to a stage in my life where I was thinking I don’t really like myself because I’m not being honest with myself.

“We always say ‘talk to someone’… and you must talk to someone. It’s brought me back from some dark places and in some cases talking to people saves you.”
In teary scenes, he then embraced Holly, who vowed she would always sit by him.
