Matthew Perry who played the lovable Chandler Bing in the 90’s hit show Friends is the last of the six original cast members to sign up to photo-sharing platform Instagram.
The 50-year-old signed up and shared his first post to his official account just a mere few hours ago and already has an impressive 3.5million followers.
Sharing the news, Matthew posted a clip of Chandler jumping up and down out of excitement and throwing his fists in the air.
Taking to the caption, he wrote: “This is how thrilled I am to finally be on Instagram. So, here we go…”

The actor is already busy showing off his wit as he wrote in his bio: “What is this, my Instagram account?”
And it wasn’t only Matthew who welcomed the news with a Friends reference as good friend and co-star Jennifer Aniston also took to her official account to welcome Matthew.
Taking to her official account, Jennifer shared a throwback snap of her and Matthew hugging followed by a clip from Friends of her character Rachel Green forgetting what Chandler did as a job in a game of ‘Who knows who better’.

The clip comes from the episode where Monica Gellar (Courtney Cox) and Rachel compete against Joey Tribbiani (Matt LeBlanc) and Chandler to see who knows who best, with the winner winning Monica’s huge New York flat.
Referencing the hilarious scene, Jennifer captioned the post: “I’m shocked Matty is the last to join Instagram, considering he was a uh… umm….oh crap Oh! A computer processing TRANSPONSTER.”
Jennifer was the second to last of the cast to join Instagram and now has 27.1million followers, breaking the Guinness World Record for the fastest account to ever reach one million followers in just five hours and 16 minutes.

Matthew’s news comes after it was revealed yesterday that the six original cast members of Friends are reportedly set to get back together for an hour-long special to help launch streaming service HBO Max.
The stars – Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matthew Perry, David Schwimmer and Matt LeBlanc – are said to be netting $3-4million (£2.3-3m) for the project.
But fans don’t need to get too excited, as it will just be a one-off special episode to help launch re-runs of the iconic series, which will air on the upcoming streaming service HBO Max.
