Little Mix fans in tears as they give emotional performance without Jesy Nelson

Little Mix : The Search viewers were left in tears after the hit girl group kicked off the series final with an emotional performance of their 2015 single Secret Love Song.

Performing as a three piece, Perrie Edwards, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jade Thirlwall took to the stage without bandmate Jesy Nelson for the stripped back rendition.

Looking red carpet ready, the girls oozed old school Hollywood glamour as they showed off their impressive vocals in floor length gold gowns.

Teasing their sex appeal, Perrie and Leigh-Anne’s gowns sported large slits all the way up the side meaning they were able to flash their supermodel worthy pins.

Taking to Twitter to gush over the performance, one viewer wrote: “Oh my god I can’t stop crying that was so beautiful.”

Another added: “The orchestra, the dresses, them. I can’t, i’m crying so hard right now #LittleMixTheSearch.”

Meanwhile, a third continued: “I was not expecting this. I’m crying. #LittleMixTheSearch.”

However others seemed baffled why Jesy wasn’t on stage with the band.

Little Mix fans were left in tears by the performance

“Hang on… where’s Jesy again? #LittleMixTheSearch,” one viewer wrote.

A second asked: “#LittleMixTheSearch Where the f*** is Jesy?

“Did I miss something at the start to say she was unwell or something? #whereisjesy”

Addressing Jesy’s absence after the performance, host Chris Ramsey said: “Unfortunately Jesy is unwell tonight so won’t be joining us but she will be rooting for all of the bands from home.”

On Saturday morning the group released a statement saying: “Jesy is unwell and will not be appearing on tonight’s final of Little Mix The Search.

“She will also not be hosting or performing at tomorrow’s MTV EMA’s.”

Neither Jesy or the Little Mix girls directly commented on her absence.

The news comes just hours after Little Mix fans took to Twitter to speculate about the starlet after she appeared bored and uninterested in a new deleted promo clip for the group’s new album Confetti.
