Manchester City stars have been staging their own version of The Great British Bake Off.
Players competed to find out which of them was cooking on gas in the kitchen.
They set up a WhatsApp group to show off their creations and had them judged in a blind tasting by catering staff at City’s training complex.
The hotshots who took part included Portuguese midfielder Bernardo Silva, 26.
He rustled up a doughnut-style sponge called a Bola de Berlim that is filled with egg yolk cream and fried. But Belgian midfielder Kevin De Bruyne was Star Baker thanks to his sultana, cinnamon and syrup pastry.

A City source told us: “Kevin is a really quiet bloke away from the club and it’s known he does enjoy a bit of cooking.
“The catering staff had the best job of all, tasting the cakes. And most of them actually looked quite edible.
“Kevin, of course, took a bit of stick for coming out best, with a couple of lads claiming it must have been his wife Michele who was the real chef.

“But it was a bit of fun for the players, who were all familiar with the TV show and fancied having a go.”
De Bruyne, 29, joined City five years ago from German side Wolfsburg for £54million.
Like many Belgians, he has a passion for pastries.
