The Chase host Bradley Walsh launched a shock attack on The Dark Destroyer, whose real name is Shaun Wallace, during Tuesday’s show in which he ordered him to “snap out of it”.
In a surprise move, Bradley, 60, lashed out after the quiz ace appeared laid back and chilled during the show.
Turning to the star who sat at the host of the famous digital quiz podium, the star moaned: “Half the country is asleep now.
“What is the matter with you, snap out if it!”
Not letting it go, Bradley reiterated his point by adding: “Come on snap out of it!”
Commenting on Brad’s moan, one viewer tweeted: “Bradley is what makes The Chase so enjoyable to watch.
“Not only does he make me laugh but he makes me smile.
“Goes to show how much of a fan I am of him over the years.”
A second added: “#TheChase Bradley spot on again.”
At the end of the show, Bradley took another shot at The Dark Destroyer for trying to make his own catchphrase.
Despite coming under fire from Bradley, the quiz ace still managed to catch the contestants and stop them taking home a bumper £60,000.
Earlier on in the show viewers took to social media to moan about ITV making them wait to see the a new Chaser in action.
Former contestant Darragh Ennis is said to be making his debut this week as the sixth Chaser.
Ennis confirmed he had joined the hit ITV at the start of the year, though didn’t confirm when his episodes would be shown on TV.
He tweeted: “”I’m really excited to be the 6th chaser on #TheChase.
“I’ve been working hard on this for a while now and can’t wait for my episodes to air. Well the ones I win anyway.”
Confirming the claims were genuine, Chaser Paul Sinha replied: “The night before the producers told us, Anne and Mark and I sat at dinner and pondered ‘Could it be a former contestant?’
“I said, ‘If it is, the best player I faced was an Irish guy who looked a bit like Micky Flanagan’. Welcome to the club mate.”
The Chase continues weekdays at 5pm on ITV
