Hollyoaks fans reduced to tears as Sid leaves villages for rehab treatment

Hollyoaks viewers were left in tears during Tuesday’s first-look episode as Sid Sumner (Billy Price) left the village for rehab.

Ste Hay (Kieron Richardson), Courtney Campbell (Amy Conachan) and Peri Lomax (Ruby O’Donnell) helped the youngster get ready as he prepared for his departure in emotional scenes.

Sid is currently facing up to the fact that his life will never be the same again, after being involved in an accident which has left him with life-changing injuries.

Leela Lomax (Kirsty-Leigh Porter) paid for Sid to have some private rehab treatment and he bid farewell to the village this evening (November 17).

Fans of the Channel 4 were left in tears and rushed to their keyboards to discuss Sid’s devastating departure.

After being let down by those closest to him, the youngster felt he had no-one to turn to – and so drowned his sorrows in drugs.

Sid took ketamine which led to him collapsing in an alleyway, recording a video of himself in which he said that he had no-one to talk to.

Peri had geared up to tell Juliet that she liked her but was left devastated by the news that she had slept with Ollie, and feeling emotional, set off on a drive.

Meanwhile Sid was left unable to feel anything as the drugs took effect, and became worried as he saw Peri’s vehicle approaching – but was unable to move in time, and she ran over his leg, with devastating consequences.

Sid was unsure whether to go through with the operation but later decided to go through with it.

Fans will have to wait and see how Sid copes with his life-changing situation.

Hollyoaks continues on Channel 4 on Wednesday at 6.30pm followed by a first look episode on E4 at 7pm
