Tipping Point fans were amused to see two Bens make an appearance on Thursday’s show, when host Mr Shephard was joined by a contestant of the same name.
However, while both men were named Ben, there was one significant difference between the pair – their height.
While Ben Shephard has joked about his height in the past, admitting to measuring at 5ft 10, the contestant towered over his co-stars on the show.
Player Ben was competing against three other players – Bob, Ruth, and Sarojini – but was enormously taller than the others at the podium.
Jokingly, Tipping Point fans took to Twitter to point out the height difference between the two Bens, affectionately branding them as “Big Ben” and “Little Ben”.
One said: “Talk about Big Ben and little Ben lol!”
“Big ben and small ben #tippingpoint,” wrote a second.
And a third chimed: “New Years Eve and Big Ben is on!”
“How tall is this guy on #tippingpoint im 6″5 and know the feeling,” wrote a fourth.
Ben proved to be a strong contestant, but the competition was fierce and he ended up getting booted out at the end of the first round.
Bidding him farewell, host Ben said: “Thanks for playing Ben!”
Surprisingly, this isn’t the first time Ben has encountered a taller Ben on the ITV quiz show.
Last month, another gentleman by the name of Ben made it through to the jackpot round, with the host exclaiming over his height.
Mr Shephard referred to him as “little Ben” in a playful nod to his measurements, saying: “Little Ben here has won £1,600 pounds. You’ve played a great game.”

Previously speaking out on his height, the GMB presenter once admitted fans are often surprised by how tall he appears to be in real life.
Chatting with the Mail, he said: “People meet me and always say, ‘You’re much taller than I expected.
“I’m 5ft 10 1/2. The half’s very important!”
Tipping Point continues tomorrow at 4.30pm on ITV.
