Tom and his family have had a turbulent few weeks after being diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumour just weeks before Kelsey was due to give birth.

Bodhi, who weighed a healthy 6lb 3oz, arrived half an hour after contractions began, and Tom was by Kelsey’s side through the birth.
Tom, 32, said he “cried his eyes out” when he finally held his son and he couple also explained that the little one got his name from a character played by the late Patrick Swayze in 1991 film Point Break.
Kelsey said: “We were watching it and my little brother, Bobby, was like, ‘Kels, I love the name Bodhi.’ And we were like, ‘We’re not sure.’ And we actually had the name when I was pregnant with Aurelia, if she was a boy.
“And then when we knew we were having a little boy, it was Bodhi the whole way. Bodhi means enlightenment, so it just goes perfectly with our situation right now. He’s the light at the end of our tunnel. Tom didn’t want the name. I said, ‘Tom, I don’t care what you say – we’re having Bodhi and that’s it.’

Tom’s bandmate Max George accidentally revealed the couple’s baby news on the Lorraine show before they were able to themselves.
And Tom confessed he called Max George a “k**bhead” for leaking the news.
Tom and his family were enjoying a break in Norwich over the summer, however he suffered weeks of unexplained seizures and eventually got a test.
Kelsey said that Tom had been able to be by her side for the whole thing, with the NHS putting the couple in “isolation” and making them “feel really welcome”.
Doctors broke the news to Tom that he had a tumour that was known as a grade four glioblastoma, saying it was “the worst case scenario”.
Tom will move on to an intensive course of immunotherapy after he finishes chemotherapy and radiotherapy.
He has chosen not to find out the prognosis of his condition, but life expectancy for this illness ranges from three months to 12 months.
