Celebrity Gogglebox's Daisy May Cooper hits out at trolls who mocked her looks

Daisy May Cooper has hit back at cruel trolls who mocked her appearance on Celebrity Gogglebox, after she joined the show with her dad Paul on Friday.

On Instagram, which Daisy regularly uses to share her hilarious dancing skits, the pregnant star hit back and showed she was unbothered by the comments.

She shared a video which started with a screenshot of a tweet which read: “Watching Celebrity Gogglebox and Daisy May Cooper looks like a troll.”

It then moved to a video of Daisy dancing around in her lounge to a version of Girls Just Wanna Have Fun from the Trolls 2 movie, which replaced “girls” with “trolls”.

The actress captioned the clip: “Haters gonna hate but I’m gonna carry on letting my hooters swing.”

She quickly received support from her followers and famous fans, including Ellie Goulding and Fearne Cotton.

Singer Ellie wrote: “We love you, don’t change!”

While presenter Fearne said: “Shame people are d***s. You are a queen.”

Daisy is currently pregnant with her second child with husband Will Weston.

They are already parents to little girl Pip, who often features in Daisy’s funny videos on Instagram.

Daisy, who plays Kerry Mucklowe in BBC smash hit This Country, announced her pregnancy in March.

She wrote: “Thrilled to say me and Will are expecting another babber.”

The funny-girl stars alongside her real life brother Charlie Cooper in This Country, which concluded with its third series earlier this year.

On the show, which is a mockumentary of life in a small West Country town, Charlie plays Kerry’s cousin Kurtan.

Their dad Paul, who stars with Daisy on Celebrity Gogglebox, plays Kerry’s dad Martin Mucklowe too.

The show is based on parts of Daisy and Charlie’s lives, and was written during a period when they were struggling for cash.

Daisy said on Lorraine: “It was such a bleak time because I’d just come out of drama school and I thought I’d get loads of auditions and I got none.

“I got a cleaning job paying about £100 a month and we thought we had to write something because humour was the only thing getting us through.

“Even finding the £9 for auditions on National Express was tough. A lot of it is based on experiences that we’ve had.

“When they were talking about not being able to afford a McDonald’s and watching their friends eating it, that was us.”
