GMB fans want Piers Morgan replaced by Alex Beresford as they speak out

Many Good Morning Britain viewers have begged the ITV show to keep Alex Beresford as a permanent presenter on the programme.

The 39-year-old weather reporter has been hosting the show alongside Kate Garraway, in the absence of Piers Morgan and Ben Shephard.

Piers is set to return to GMB next week, but some viewers want Alex to replace him permanently.

One said: “Alex can you replace @piersmorgan from Monday, I’m sure he won’t mind swapping roles he can do the weather – we like a nice relaxed @GMB at 6am instead of shouting.”

While another wrote: “Get rid of Morgan give Alex the job.”

“Good to see Alex at the desk. Anything better than the shouty irritating Piers”, added a third.

A fourth penned: “@GMB there is a small part of me that misses Piers but have enjoyed waking up with what is now my favourite presenting partnership, Alex and Kate.

Despite this, Piers still has many fans who can’t wait for him to return to GMB.

While another wrote: “Good Morning Britain is s*** and boring without @piersmorgan.”

At the end of Friday’s GMB, Kate revealed she wouldn’t be on the show next week as she’s taking a break.

She announced that she was having some time off to spend time with her children, Billy and Darcey, and her husband Derek who is still battling the aftermath of coronavirus.

Kate explained: “I’m not actually here next week, I’m taking a break to help Billy prepare for starting secondary school.”

The presenter also mentioned she would spend time with her beloved husband Derek, and she thanked viewers for being so amazing when she “came back in such challenging times.”
