Former page 3 girl Jodie Marsh has shared heartbreaking pictures from her mum’s funeral on Instagram.
Jodie’s mum Kristina Marsh passed away last month after battling cancer.
Today Jodie shared two snaps from her funeral, one of which showed her coffin covered in a mass of beautiful flowers.
The devastated model wrote alongside the snap: “Mum. I am broken.”
Another picture shows her mum being carried into the church by several men including her boyfriend Billy Collins Nuttal and their best friend.
Jodie paid a heartfelt tribute to Billy for his support in her post and told how he has been her “rock” through her mum’s illness.
She wrote: “All the boys did so amazing today but Billy did me so proud.
“Billy and Colin (our best friend) were asked by dad to carry mum in with my dad and brother and Billy has been so stressed about it. It’s the biggest honour you can do for someone – carry them in – I think.
“And though Billy felt so honoured and privileged, he was so scared of messing up. I am so so so proud of him and I love him so much.
“He was literally amazing and so strong. Mum loved him so much and I’m so happy he was able to do this for her. He’s been my rock throughout all of her illness and now this. I can’t put into words how grateful I am for him.”
Last month Jodie paid tribute to her mum after she tragically passed away.
Taking to Instagram, Jodie shared a string of snaps of her mother with her fans.
She heartbreakingly captioned the post: “My beautiful, kind, caring, generous, intelligent, funny, classy and incredible mum passed away this morning.
“There will never be another woman like my mum.
“She was the strongest woman I’ve ever known.
“She was my best friend and I don’t know how to do life without her..”
Jodie was quickly flooded with messages of condolence and support from her fans.
Jodie also posted a series of photographs of herself alongside her mum as she reminisced about the good times they shared together.
The reality star wrote: “We had the BEST nights out. She loved life and loved people. She loved to sing and dance and she loved to go out to different places. She was the kindest human you could ever meet,” adding a pink heart to her loving words.
In May, Jodie told fans that her mother was “turfed out of hospital” because of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
Jodie tweeted: “My mum was basically turfed out of hospital and told ‘come back in 8 weeks’ even though she has the most aggressive growing cancer her consultant had ever seen.”
“Thrown out of hospital because of Covid. No treatment. She’s dying at home. No word from hospital.”
She added: “Her cancer is so aggressive.
“We’ve been told what treatment she needs but hospital won’t see her til June. Sickening x.”
Begging for the public to seek help with cancer during the pandemic, Jodie posted on social media: “We cannot say it enough.
“THE NHS IS OPEN please do not sit at home with any cancer symptoms, get to speak to your doctor or visit A & E.
“The figures in cancer diagnosis are drastically down. Please remember lives are saved by early detection! Please RT.”
