Louise Redknapp fears she'll 'never fall in love again' after Jamie divorce

Louise Redknapp confessed in a tell-all interview that she has not even been on one single date since she parted ways from her ex-husband Jamie.

The 45-year-old admitted that she was now frightful she’d “never fall in love again” after romance seemed to be nonexistent for her.

Since her split from football pundit Jamie, 47, the Heavy Love hitmaker has been working hard on her musical career, along with being a doting mum to her two sons, Charley and Beau.

Not wanting to upset her boys, she put dating on the back burner, with eldest son Charley wanting to veto any prospective men.

Speaking in a heartfelt interview, Louise laid her emotions bare as her love life came into focus.

She told the listeners of the Spinning Plates podcast: “I don’t think I’m ever going to be able to have a boyfriend because, first of all, the 16-year-old is like, ‘Well, how they’re going to get past me?’

“Sometimes I go, ‘How would you feel if I went on a date?’ He’s like, ‘I don’t want to talk about it’.”

Spilling the beans on romantic activity following her divorce over three years ago, the former Eternal band member added: “It’s not looking positive for me when it comes to love life.

“Still haven’t been on a date! Lockdown is not helping me in the dating world.”

Speculation has mounted about Louise’s romantic encounters after Jamie’s new relationship with Swedish model Frida Andersson-Lourie, 37, hit the headlines earlier this year.

The former Liverpool football player and the stunning blonde were first spotted together on a country walk not far from Jamie’s home in Surrey.

Potentially hinting that she found the news tough to swallow, Louise continued: “I’m by no means in this amazing place, if I said I was, I’d be lying.

“I’ve still have so many struggles on a daily basis because I don’t know if someone ever gets over getting divorced after 20 years.

“I don’t think that will ever get easier for someone like me.

“I don’t want to feel hurt, I don’t want to feel worried about everyone I know and love, I don’t want to worry that everything I do will have a negative effect.”

The famous couple, who share their teen sons together, were married for 19 years before they decided to go their separate ways, completely shocking the nation.

At the time, Louise had just competed in the BBC favourite Strictly, previously admitting that her stint on the ballroom dancing competition had widened her eyes, helping her to realise that she wanted to return to her singing roots.
