Good Morning Britain presenter Piers Morgan has slammed Kanye West after the rapper announced he plans to run for president in the 2020 election.
Taking to Twitter, the 39-year-old revealed his grand political plans, writing: “We must now realize the promise of America by trusting God, unifying our vision and building our future.
“I am running for president of the United States,” adding the hashtag “2020 vision”.
But his big White House dreams didn’t sit well with Piers, who tweeted: “Not now Kanye, seriously.”

While he doesn’t have the GMB host’s support, Kayne’s political campaign has been back by tech billionaire Elon Musk.
Elon, who recently welcomed a baby with girlfriend Grime, tweeted in response: “You have my full support!”
Meanwhile, Kim Kardashian retweeted her husband’s West’s statement and adding a U.S. flag emoji.
The musician reportedly has yet to file any paperwork to get on the election state ballots, and has missed the deadline for states including Texas, New York, and Indiana.

It’s not the first time Kanye has expressed an interest in running for president.
At at a Fast Company event in 2019, he declared: “When I run for president in 2024…We would create so many jobs!
“I’m not going to run, I’m going to walk.”
And the Chicago native’s announcement ruffled feathers on Twitter with many sceptical of Kanye’s political motives.
“I’m telling you right now, I don’t have it in me for Kanye to (actually) run for president. Nope. The idea of having to critique his policy, analyse coverage whatever f**kery he’s saying this week. The real discussion of Kim Kardashian becoming first lady. I’m out.”
“Kanye West as President – Kim Kardashian as First Lady. Elon Musk as Attorney General, Khloe Kardashian as Secretary of State and the rest of us moving to Canada, Mexico or any country that will give us asylum,”
