The Chase fans left distracted as Scottish beauty steals the show

The Chase host Bradley Walsh welcomed four new contestants to the show this evening, each hoping to take home a tidy sum.

Accounts-expert Sam from Scotland appeared on the show, racking up an impressive £4,000 in the cash builder round.

However, player number two left fans distracted as soon as she appeared before the Chaser – with viewers praising her stunning good looks.

Over on Twitter, one said: “Sam is so pretty.”

A second swooned: “Sam is an absolute rocket!”

While a third chimed: “Hello, Sam!”

However, viewers were in for a disappointment, when they heard that Sam had a long-term boyfriend – named Stevie – at home.

Scottish contestant Sam appeared on The Chase this afternoon

Revealing her plans for spending her winnings, Sam said: “Finally set a date with my fiancé called Stevie.”

Brad asked: “Does Stevie know you’re setting a date?”

She replied: “We’ve been engaged for four and a half years so he better know by now.”

Giving Sam’s hubby-to-be a telling off, Brad looked into the camera and said: “Stevie, national telly! Now you know mate.”

Bradley assured Sam she would be fine as she squared up to The Governess

Bradley Walsh picked up on Sam’s nerves, as he announced: “You look nervous darling! You’ll be fine.”

Sam decided to go for the lower offer of £1,000, fearing her nerves were getting the better of her before The Governess.

Brad gave her a quick hug to ease her nerves, as she said: “I’m really sorry team.”

Anne Hegerty joked: “That’s how I like my contestants – shaking with fear!”

Luckily, Sam made it through to the final round with £1,000 in the bag, as Bradley congratulated her on an excellent performance.

Anne then took a savage swipe, remarking: “Not sure how much use you’re going to be in the final Chase. “

The Chase airs on weekdays at 5pm on ITV.
