The Chase star “The Beast” Mark Labbett has gone on a blocking spree on his Twitter account after fans trolled him for refusing lockdown.
Amid the coronavirus pandemic, Matt Hancock has warned a second national lockdown could be brought in to help tackle a second wave in the UK.
Following this news, Mark shared his thoughts on his official Twitter account to his 130.8k followers on Sunday, as he called for his followers to say no to a second lockdown and to refuse doing it.
The 55-year-old Chaser also included the controversial hashtag “#SayNoToLockdown” which really angered fans as it sparked a huge political debate.
It led many fans questioning the star’s intelligence and some even calling for him to be removed from the ITV show.
Taking to his Twitter account once again today, he announced that he has blocked a number of people following the abuse he had been receiving for his views.
He tweeted: “Blocking a lot of people this afternoon.
“Politics is all about discussion/argument but questioning my intelligence is pretty counterproductive #SayNoToLockdown.”

Following his original tweet, many of his fans responded saying they are supportive of a second lockdown but it did divide some fans.
Among the many comments, one wrote: “Why Mark? Sure it’s a pain, but at least it helps slow the spread considerably.”
Having Mark’s back, one responded: “But what about the millions of lives that’ll be ruined from collapsed businesses?
“The virus is here to stay, we need to protect the vulnerable and let people get on with their lives.”

It comes after Mark hit headlines last month after he split from his wife Katie of five years so she can move on with her lover.
Katie Labbett previously told how she met her lover on a night out and The Beast was fine with her seeing him while they were still married.
They announced on August 30 that they were splitting up so the 28-year-old could pursue a relationship with 30-year-old lover Scott Bate.
Speaking to The Sun last year, Katie told how she met the senior designer on a night out
She said: “I met Scott by accident, on a night out, and we just clicked. It wasn’t intentional, it just happened. But Mark always knew — straight from the off I was honest.
“He knew I was going out and who I was seeing. He was incredibly understanding. If it was anybody else it wouldn’t matter, but because Mark’s in the limelight people have been gossiping. It’s frustrating.”
The Chase airs weekdays on ITV at 5pm
