Adele reportedly agreed not to sing about the breakdown of her marriage to Simon Konecki despite topping charts and winning Grammy Awards for singing about past relationships.
The Someone Like You songstress is said to have agreed not to sing about the split for the sake of their son Angelo.
Adele and Simon are both keen for him not to grow up and be able to read tit-for-tat headlines about his mum and dad.
A source close to the star said: “Heartbreak has helped Adele shift records over the years but this split is quite different.
“They’re both aware their son Angelo should be protected and that’s why Adele has agreed not to sing about their relationship.”

The former couple are keen to respect each other and put their son’s needs first.
The insider added to The Sun: “Her new album will have a different sound anyway, so it hasn’t bothered her too much that Simon quietly expected her to keep their relationship out of her music.”
A rep for Adele has been contacted by Daily Star for comment.

Adele famously revealed how after her debut album 19 helped turned her into a household name her ex-boyfriend asked her for royalties.
The British music icon revealed he wrote to her arguing his actions turned her into a star.
She said at the time: “He really thought he’d had some input into the creative process by being a p****.
“I’ll give him this credit — he made me an adult.”

Adele’s last album 25 was released in 2015.
It spawned mega-hit Hello and saw her win two Grammy award, including Album of the Year.
Her next album was initially slated for release in September 2020, though due to the pandemic was put on hold.
Adele’s divorce was recently finalised with mediators helping divide up her £140 million empire.
A source claimed both sides didn’t want to use lawyers but with a vast fortune being at the centre of the split they had to seek professional help.
An insider claimed: “The priority was making sure they did right by their son, Angelo.
“The first thing they agreed on was sharing custody, and since then it has been about dividing up the rest of their marital finances fairly.
“Fortunately they have managed to get there without an explosive public court case, slanging matches or scandalous claims about each other, and that gives them the best possible chance of staying on good terms in the future.”
