Tipping Point host Ben Shephard was left fighting back laughter today after one contestant told him India was a capital city.
During Monday’s edition of the hit ITV show, Madi was given a quick fire round where she had to correctly answer as many questions as possible in order to win tokens to put in the machine.
Sadly, things didn’t go to plan and she failed to correctly answer a single question.
However, while incorrect answers are common on the show, Ben’s face stretched into a smirk after Madi made one epic error.
The Good Morning Britain presenter asked Madi what the capital city of Indonesia is.
The small republic is in Southeast Asia and Oceania.
Madi quickly answered “India” with confidence before being told it was incorrect and moving on to the next question.
At the end of the round, Ben went through the answers and told her that in fact it is Jakarta which is the capital of Indonesia.
It wasn’t just Ben who couldn’t hide his shock at the answer.
Madi’s reply was quickly the talk of Twitter.
One viewer wrote: “Lol I’m watching #tippingpoint and the Ben asked the girl what’s the name of Indonesia’s capital. Her answer was India.
Answer added: “India = capital of Indonesia. Are you a moron? #TippingPoint.”
Meanwhile, a third continued: “India, the capital of Indonesia, I’ve heard it all now #tippingpoint.”
A fourth chimed in: “You guessed at the capital of Indonesia being India… no s*** Sherlock.”
Due to her banking the lowest amount of money in her prize pot, Madi was the next contestant to leave the show.
It left Pam and George to battle it out for a place in the all important TV final.
After the penultimate round, Pam sailed through through with £1350 Vs George’s £700.
Despite missing out on a cash prize, George did bag himself a mystery prize which was an instant camera.
Pam finished the show by taking home £2550 and promised to take her grandkids to Disneyland Paris.
