Pop icon Billie Eilish took to Instagram on Wednesday to show off her new ‘do – shoulder length blonde waves with a stylish curtain fringe.
The singer, 19, paired the new style with an understated makeup look of shimmy pale pink eyeshadow and pink lipstick.
In the pic she posted to Instagram, she pouts at the camera in her signature casual clothes – a baggy black jacket and a pearl choker.
She simply captioned it: “Pinch me.”
Fans “loved” the new look, with one commenting: “We love blonde Billie.”
Another penned: “The 80s vibes I swear to God.”
The young star also posted a short clip to her account, which shows her cheekily flipping her newly bleached curls back and shimmying for the camera.
In it, she wears a retro style button-up cardigan and appears to be in a studio.
In the caption, she invited fans to guess what colour she’d dyed her hair.
Makeup and beauty YouTuvber James Charles was among those who took to the comments, as he posted: “Oh my God.”
Another fan wailed: “I thought it was gonna be red.”
Someone else was in agreement, but seemed pleased by the blonde bombshell’s transformation, writing: “I thought it was red but I’m very happily wrong OMG.”
The star is notorious for her brightly coloured hair, which was most recently jet black with neon green roots.
Billie is actually a natural born blonde, so in a way her latest ‘do is a return to normality.
However, fans have theorised she’s been wearing a wig recently, as she paired her look for the 2021 Grammy awards with a bucket hat and has been accessorising with scarves in recent weeks.
In an Instagram Live back in December, Billie promised fans she was “changing” her hair as soon as her documentary, The World’s A Little Blurry, released.
“It will be the end of an era,” she said. “I’m going to give you a new era.”
The documentary aired on Apple TV+ in February.
Billie took away two Grammys at Sunday’s award ceremony, including one for Record of the Year for her song Everything I Wanted.
She was also awarded the Best Song Written for Visual Media Grammy for No Time To Die, which appears on the No Time To Die Bond soundtrack.
The starlet was also nominated for Best Solo Performance and Song of the Year.
