Britney Spears has thanked her fans for their constant resilience during the #FreeBritney campaign.
The 39-year-old singer secured a major victory in her attempt to rid herself of Jamie Spears’ conservatorship last week, as her father was officially suspended as one of her conservators.
The victory marked an unofficial end to the 13-year long conservatorship which 69-year-old Jamie held over his daughter’s estate and person.
On Wednesday, an LA judge instead gave the conservator title to a man appointed by Britney herself and the Stronger singer has now addressed her most fervent supporters.
Posting to Twitter on Monday, Britney gave a shoutout to her earliest supporters in the legal battle.
The conservatorship was recently bought to public attention thank to a dedicated group of the Crossroads star’s most fervent fans.
The group of fans labelled themselves the #FreeBritney movement and brought the perils of her conservatorship into the spotlight, with Britney recently thanking them for their support.
She wrote: “#FreeBritney movement … I have no words … because of you guys and your constant resilience in freeing me from my conservatorship … my life is now in that direction !!!!!
“I cried last night for two hours cause my fans are the best and I know it.”
Alongside her tweet, Britney also shared a 22-second video of herself swaying to Kanye West’s track Fade.
In the clip, Britney can be seen wearing pink shorts and a crop white smock top as she stares down the camera through her kohl-rimmed eyes.
Her hair is worn in her signature blonde shade, with hair extensions cascading over her shoulders.
Jamie was initially appointed as his daughter Britney’s conservator in 2008 amid increasing concerns for the star’s welfare and mental health.
He deemed the ruling “disappointing” in a statement released through his lawyer.
Britney’s own attorney Mathew Rosengart has since shared his hopes that the conservatorship will be fully terminated next month.
