Holly Willoughby gushes over Phillip Schofield who says they're 'couple mates on TV'

This Morning star Holly Willoughby has gushed over her pal Phillip Schofield who says they’re ‘very lucky’ to be able to work together every day.

The 40-year-old, who stunned in a pink dress at the Pride of Britain Awards Red Carpet, added the daytime show has really “evolved” during the Covid pandemic.

Co-star Phillip, 59, told The Daily Star: “I think what has been amazing is the fact that through the whole of the crazy 18 months when people were watching This Morning and saying ‘you were saving us’, at the same time I was saying ‘thank you for saving me’.

“Without the show, I think we could have all gone crazy. We are just a couple of mates on the tele.”

Holly then added: “We are very lucky to be working with each other for quite some time.

“Every year it deepens in some way I think we demonstrated to ourselves really how much the show can evolve with what circumstances we were under.

“We love each other too!”

Holly walked the Red Carpet next to lookalike mum Linda, 73, as the pair smiled for photographs.

The mum of three youngsters Harry, 12, Belle, 10 and Chester, seven, looked sensational in a pink off-the-shoulder gown with delicate floral detailing, with Linda choosing a classy cream dress with embroidery and sheer sleeves.

Holly shared a cute photo and captioned: “On a night where we celebrate heroes… I’m out with mine… #prideofbritain.”

She also opened up about struggling with guilty after missing taking her kids to school every day.

“I feel guilty about everything.” she said “It’s totally normal. But what I would say is – and this is what I really have to focus on – where’s the guilt coming from?”

She added working mums feel guilty for not being able to drop off the kids as they have to go to work, but admits it’s what “everyone else is thinking”.

The Pride of Britain Awards recognises the achievements of truly remarkable people who make our world a better place.
