Hollyoaks fans find it hard to keep up with all of the drama between the families, so it comes as no surprise that the soap’s real-life siblings may have passed them by.
Despite the revenge plots and feuds between the village residents and their loved ones, in the end, families like the McQueens and Hutchinsons remember that blood is always thicker than water.
But amidst the drama, viewers of the Channel 4 soap might be shocked to discover just how many of their favourite stars share the small screen with their real-life siblings.
From Hannah and Kara Tointon to Greg Wood and Matt Milburn, plenty of the actors have followed the same soap path as their relatives.
Daily Star takes a look at the Hollyoaks cast and their family members who have also made it onto a beloved soap.
Nick and John Pickard
Hollyoaks actors Nick and John Pickard played half brothers in the Channel 4 soap but they’re, in fact, brothers in real life.
Nick, 45, has played fan favourite Tony Hutchinson since the serial drama first aired back in 1995.
John, 43, was cast to play Tony’s estranged brother Dominic Riley in 2005 and he stuck around until 2010.
Speaking of his decision to quit the soap, he said: “I’ve really enjoyed my time on Hollyoaks and I shall be very sad to leave, but after five years, it’s definitely time to move on.
“I’ve loved working with Nick and it’s been great living in the North — Liverpool is such a great city and we’ve both made friends for life up here.”
Since leaving the show, John has appeared in Casualty as well as several stage shows up and down the country.
Nick remains the longest-running-serving Hollyoaks cast member and Tony is currently involved in a major storyline regarding in the paternity of his wife Diane’s unborn baby.
