I'm A Celeb fans celebrate as Danny Miller voted to do 'disgusting' eating trial

Danny Miller has been unveiled as the first famous face to take on the first solo I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! Bushtucker trial of the new series.

The contestant found out that he’d be taking part in the sickening Castle Diner eating challenge live on air during Sunday’s launch show.

Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly turned up to camp to deliver the news of the public vote.

Danny and Richard Madeley were left until last and it was later revealed that Richard would be taking on the gruelling challenge.

Viewers watching at home rushed to their keyboards to celebrate the result.

Earlier in the episode, Richard Madeley and Frankie Bridge took on a very critter-filled first trial of the series after being voted for by viewers.

Taking to Twitter, one fan penned: “Yes! I voted for Danny five times.”

Another added: “So happy Danny is doing the eating trial.”

A third person posted: “Now Danny was nearly sick talking about eating things and being sick. Tomorrow night will be epic!”

While a fourth social media user said: “Anyone else do a little happy dance for Danny being chosen.”

The other eight celebrities arrived at Turrets of Terror, a huge three-level structure that had been placed in front of the historic castle.

The group were already in two separate teams at this point, with the team who were currently in the lead given the choice to decide whether Frankie or Richard would represent them.

While the winning team earned keys to the castle, granting them access to the main camp, the losers were “banished” to the Castle Clink, where they’ll have to make do with basic rations.

Before Frankie and Richard’s trial, the other celebrities took on other mortifying challenges in order to give their respective teams a head start.

Louise Minchin, Naughty Boy, Snoochie Shy and Danny faced the plank challenge, while Arlene Phillips, David Ginola, Kadeena Cox and Matty Lee were given the “hell holes”, where they had to stick their hands into mysterious boxes and try to pass tools to each other in order to unlock flares in the quickest time possible.

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! 2021 airs nightly at 9pm on ITV and on ITV Hub
