Love Island fans say they're complaining to Ofcom as Hugo is left out of task

Love Island fans have been left furious and heading to Ofcom to complain about Hugo Hammond being left out during Thursday’s challenge.

The Line Of Booty challenge saw Hugo as the only lad being left out of the game, with none of the Love Island babes choosing him to work their magic on.

Thursday’s programme saw the girls dress up as naughty police officers and then choose a man of their choice to put in jail and seduce.

But to viewers’ dismay, the England PD cricketer was awkwardly left standing on his own as the other Love Island lads had all been locked up by their partners.

He watched on as Sharon had revenge on Aaron, and Chloe planted a kiss on semi-pro footballer Toby’s lips as his partner Kaz watched on.

The 24-year-old disappointingly watched all of the actions on the sidelines with a heart-wrenching expression on his face.

Angry fans then flooded social media to show their support to the cricketer and their anger to the situation.

Many viewers claimed they would be complaining to Ofcom, the watchdog that deals with viewing complaints about sensitive TV clips.

One girl tweeted: “Writing a complaint to Ofcom as Hugo didn’t get picked in the challenge.”

Another said: “Should complain to Ofcom for showing Hugo standing there in that challenge unpicked. My heart.”

A third posted gif of a woman angrily typing on a laptop and wrote: “Me writing my Ofcom complaint about Hugo not being picked.”

“If Hugo doesn’t get picked again for another challenge WATCH me be THAT Karen that reports them to Ofcom for bullying,” while a fourth penned.

A fifth tagged the official Love Island Twitter page and said: “Put a 10/10 in Casa Amor for Hugo or Ofcom will be hearing from me!”

Unfortunately for Hugo, this isn’t the first awkward and upsetting situation he has been put in on the show.

A few days before fellow contestants Sharon Gaffka and Faye Winter weighed in on him over his claims over not being attracted to “fake” women.

During a different challenge, the star stated that fakeness was his biggest turn-off, alluding to cosmetic procedures and two-faced personalities.

As women in the villa who had been under the knife, Sharon and Faye took great offence to this and took turns in having a go at the Oxford Brookes University graduate.

Many fans chimed in on social media to say that the girls were bullying him as they felt the star was ganged up on by the duo.

One fan said: “I’m sorry but the attitude absolutely reeks of bullies. Everyone was protecting Kaz saying she needs to be protected yet they bully Hugo.”

While another tweeted: “They don’t need to gang up on him – talk to him? Bloody educate him lol. Silly girls acting like high school bullies.”
