Love Island's Amy Hart says Hideaway had 'secret wall' which hid sex toys and outfits

Former Love Island star Amy Hart has exposed a “secret cupboard” that was disguised as a wall within the Spanish villa in 2019.

The 28-year-old explained that the door which contained fancy dress, massage oils and a stash of sex toys had been well hidden from viewers.

Islanders who were lucky enough to spend a night in the Hideaway during Amy’s series would have all known about the hidden door which appeared as a wall to any outsiders.

Speaking about the “mystery drawer” which had been discovered in the Hideaway this year, Amy confirmed that they’d been treated no differently.

Speaking to Daily Star exclusively, she said: “So we had the secret cupboard, the wall.

“You pushed the wall and then it opened and it had all of the bits in it.”

Amy wasn’t surprised that ITV producers had switched things up this year, giving contestants a drawer instead of a “secret wall”.

The former air hostess went on: “The villa is built inside a villa so they take it down and recreate new stuff every year.”

This year, fans were baffled when Liam Reardon and Millie Court visited took to the hot pink room, unveiling a secret drawer from within the base of the bed.

Millie was spotted rummaging through the goodies before finally plunking out a naughty nurse uniform and massage oil for her Welsh beau.

Fans of the programme took to Twitter in their masses to call out the unknown part of the villa.

One person penned: “Since when did they have a secret draw in the Hideaway, #loveisland.”

While a third added: “I swear we’ve not been introduced to the sex draw before. #loveisland.”

Meanwhile, Love Island fans have been left in suspense after Thursday’s episode left a massive question mark over Jake Cornish and Liberty Poole’s time in the villa.

Liberty had been shown storming off through the villa while ditching her microphone and kit before she eventually called time on her romance with Jake.

She told him: “I just don’t feel like you love me for me and I want someone who loves me for me.”

Jake replied: “What are we saying then? Are we saying we’ll go our separate ways then?”

The pair called time on their brief relationship, and decided to bow out of the show in a shock twist during Friday’s episode.

This means Kaz and Tyler, Millie and Liam, Chloe and Toby and Faye and Teddy are the four finalists waiting to hear the results of the final vote of the 2021 series.

Love Island comes to an end on Monday August 23 at 9pm on ITV2.
