Love Island's Dale rocked his signature chains as a baby in sweet throwback snap

Love Island’s Dale Mehmet looked cuter than ever in a sweet throwback snap his mother shared which saw his love of gold chains start from an early age.

The Glaswegian hunk, 24, is known for his love of bling inside the villa, but it appears that his signature fashion staple has been something he has rocked “since he could walk”.

His proud parent Gill shared an adorable childhood photograph of her son on Instagram following Tuesday night’s bombshell episode which saw Dale couple up with brunette beauty Abigail Rawlings.

As he smiled sweetly into the camera, the much younger Dale proudly displayed his favoured gold necklace which he has continued to pull off into his 20s.

His doting mum wrote atop of the picture: “Chains since the day he could walk! Chocolate button eyes,” with a heart eyes emoji.

But as much as the Scottish barber may love his chains, the fashion statement hasn’t necessarily been a hit with the girls on the show.

This comes after Chloe Burrows admitted that she fancied Dale when he first joined the villa, but shared how his love of jewellery was a big bug bearer for her.

She told the other girls in the villa: “Dale, potential to fancy ok. Right now, if I had to pick one to snog it would be him.

“He’s got a lot going for him in that sense. It was just the two chains, bugging me.”

But the banging bachelor also caught the eyes of Casa Amor belle Mary Bedford as the pair got to know each other a little more after Chloe called it quits to pursue a connection with Toby Aromolaran.

As the two sexy singletons flirted up a storm on the daybed, fans learnt of the talented barber’s sweet childhood nickname as the pair compared their eye colours.

While they stared deeply into each other’s eyes, Dale admitted that his mother used to say he had “chocolate button eyes” as a kid, and fans couldn’t help but agree.

But when it came to coupling up, it was Abi who was the lucky lady to couple up with the Scottish hunk and admitted in her speech that “from the second he walked into the villa it was smiles and fun and good energy.”

Yet one member of the villa was devastated by Abi’s decision, as Mary sat in utter shock to find herself without the boy she wanted to couple up with.

In a panic, Mary whispered over to Clarisse: “What the f**k am I supposed to say now?” as she scrambled for thoughtful words to say to the last man standing, newcomer Sam.
