Masked Singer's Joel Dommett unrecognisable in teenage Casualty acting debut

The Masked Singer host Joel Dommett looks completely different as a teenager in a throwback video of his acting debut.

Joel, best known for his comedy, shared the clip of himself starring on hospital drama Casualty in 2004.

The comedian filmed his TV with a scene starring himself before posting it on Instagram to his followers.

In the episode, Joel played Jonathan Hansell, a teen who had just passed his driver’s test.

But he was involved in an accident and in the dramatic scene that unfolds, Joel was seen accompanying his critically injured dad in the back of the ambulance.

Joel asks the medic in the video: “How is he doing? It’s my birthday today, that was my present, the car. I took my test this morning and I passed.”

According to the paramedic, his on-screen dad was in a stable condition, who said ‘well done babe’ for passing his test.

But devastated, Joel’s character replies: “No it wasn’t. If I had failed we wouldn’t be here now would we. My dad he bought me the car and now I’ve killed him.”

Joel captioned the clip: “Joel Dommett in 2002 on Casualty. ENJOY.”

IMDB states the episode aired back in 2004, not 2002 when Joel would have been 17, but slightly older.

His fans and famous friends loved the throwback clip, with many asking what happened to his dad.

Singer Tallia Storm said: “This is amazing.”

A fan added: “Well – did you kill your dad?! Talk about a cliffhanger.”

A third person penned: “Did he survive? For god sakes man, tell me he made it!”

The hilarious video comes after the 35-year-old’s recent topless gaffe on Lorraine.

The comedian had been due to chat to Lorraine Kelly’s Christmas replacement Ranvir Singh to talk about the new series of The Masked Singer – but left the show in chaos when he slept through his time slot.

He finally made it on air but only by the skin of his teeth, and Andi had his number and paused his own segment to phone him.

But picking up, clearly with no idea why Andi was calling, and later appeared topless leaving Ranvir in stitches.
