Amanda Owen has given fans a heart-warming Christmas update after welcoming a new member of the family onto Ravenseat Farm.
The stunning shepherdess stars on Channel 5’sOur Yorkshire Farm with her hubby Clive and their nine kids – and the show documents their day-to-day life on their farm in Yorkshire.
The family recently suffered the tragic loss of their 40-year-old pony – Little Joe.
Fans across the country were sobbing as the Owen family said goodbye to their beloved pet in October.
However, two months later the family were overjoyed to welcome a new family member onto the famous farm – a pedigree Clydesdale horse named Hazel.
It appears that Amanda and her family have been keeping themselves busy as they’ve been gearing up for Christmas on the farm.
Taking to Instagram on Wednesday (December 22), Amanda told her fans that the farm has seen plenty of action as “Christmas preparations are underway”.
Amanda shared an adorable snap of her youngest daughter Clemmy, five, as she stood next to the family’s pony Toby in the stable.
Shetland pony Toby was dressed up in a cute thermal coat to keep him warm in the chilly winter months, and Clemmy was kitted out in a wooly hat and coat.
A second snap showed the sweet moment where Clemmy was sweeping up some hay in the stable.
Amanda’s fans loved the stable photos, with many wishing the shepherdess and her family a happy Christmas.
One fan wrote: “Love your gorgeous family! Merry Christmas to you all”
A second said: “Merry Christmas to ALL of you, thank you for letting us share your wonderful Life in Yorkshire.”
A third commented: “Awww best dressed pony. Great work girls. Hope you all have a wonderful Christmas”
A fourth gushed: “Beautiful family.”
The shepherdess and author decided to surprise her children after purchasing their pedigree horse – Hazel – who can bond with the family’s other horse – Tony.
In heartwarming scenes, Amanda said: “I think they have sussed what the surprise is today, haven’t you?”
An excited Clemmy shouted: “I know!” as Annie and Sidney joined in, shouting: “A horse!”
Clemmy joked: “I don’t think Annie can get on it, it looks quite high!”
Amanda revealed that they’d thought of a beautiful name for the filly, telling children would have to get to know Hazel like their other horses.
She told them: “What you need to do now is get to know her like you know our horses, don’t you?”
