It seems as though Pete Doherty has ditched his rocker lifestyle for good.
The Libertines frontman, 42, left behind his wild party days filled with drugs and booze and instead found himself a quaint spot in the French countryside.
And the singer looked completely unrecognisable during his wholesome outing with Puta Madres bandmate and, more importantly, girlfriend Katia de Vidas.
They now lead a peaceful life in Étretat, a coastal town popular with visiting Parisians, reports The Sun.
During the pair’s brief outing, Pete was seen wearing a face-mask while shopping at the local store and butchers with girlfriend Katia.
The loved-up couple were then spotted taking their pet dog to the vets.
“While lockdown has been tough for so many people, Pete is honestly the happiest he’s ever been,” a source told The Sun.
“He used to live a fast-paced, hedonistic lifestyle. He was the epitome of rock and roll. But the relaxed pace of life suits him more.”
“He still has a hand in music as that’s his number one passion, of course, but going to France has allowed him to relax,” the source added.
In spite of Pete’s best efforts to become clean, it never really happened until now.
He’d even ventured out to Thailand six years ago to shut out the world and focus on being rehabilitated.
Back in 2019 the star revealed to the Guardian that within “just 10 minutes” of being back at his home in Margate he was up to his old tricks again.
Then just 18 months ago, Pete was arrested on the outskirts of Paris for buying cocaine in the street.
It’s clear that he’s left that side of him in the past as he and his girlfriend now live a wholesome life.
And the insider says Katia is the reason behind Pete’s transformation from his wild ways to his now tamed self.
The source says Pete and Katia often spend time “cooking and walking the dog” which has brought him back down to earth.
Though it’s not known how long Pete has been dating Katia, the pair were first spotted in public in 2019.
The rocker is famed for his past flings with A-listers.
Pete boasts quite an extensive list of former flames, including supermodel Kate Moss and Back To Black star Amy Winehouse who tragically passed away in July 2011.
After Amy’s death, Pete told the Daily Mail: “This is difficult for me to admit. But, yes, it’s true. Amy and I were lovers.
“I loved her then and, well, I still do today. But towards the end, as only lovers can, she became quite mean and cruel to me.
“She didn’t suffer fools . . . and believe me, she had a mean right hook.”
But back in 2007, Pete tried to win supermodel Kate over with a very public display of affection – by declaring his love in a national newspaper.

He told the paper: “There’s been this lockdown and I can’t get hold of her. This is the only way I can get through.
“I need her to know that she’s out of her f***ing mind. Kate, if you love me then realise I don’t want any other girl.
“Do I still love her? Don’t ask me that question. Why do you think I’m here today talking to you? I’m here to tell her that I love her.”
