A bust-up broke out during filming for the new series of Dragons’ Den.
Peter Jones has revealed he clashed with one of his co-stars – but isn’t naming who it was.
And it was so bad that it carried on after the cameras stopped rolling.
Businessman Peter said: “When we’re inside the Den there’s no illusion. You’re a Dragon who is there to win. It’s as simple as that. This year, one Dragon didn’t speak to me for an hour after I won a pitch!
“There were a couple of Dragons out for my lunch this time, which was a bit cheeky.
“The quality of the businesses really heightened the level of competitiveness in the Den.”
The Dragons competing with Peter on the new series include Sara Davies, Deborah Meaden, Tej Lalvani and Touker Suleyman, who are all looking to take a share of potential new enterprises. And they have promised the show is more explosive than ever.
Sara said: “It gets more heated than last series.
“This series I was comfortable being more aggressive in fighting for investments.”
Deborah added: “We are competing for businesses and that can get heated.
“None of us hold back… we haven’t got to where we are in life by being shrinking violets.”
Inspired by the Japanese series The Tigers of Money, the British version of Dragons’ Den first took the nation by storm in 2005.
The show helped fund some dazzling British businesses, with the launch of Reggae Reggae sauces in 2007, and the 2012 success of bronzing product Skinny Tan.
Peter, who joined the world of business at the tender age of 16, is the only remaining original Dragon, producing 17 series to date.
Dragons Den starts next Thursday at 8pm on BBC One.
